Vehicle Detail
2004 Triumph Daytona 955i with 2004 ninja zx12r faring and inverted forks...The whole front end is the ZX better shocks and looks.. breaks are better too. Rides great handles better. Love the bike, but wife says no bike and race car... Bike is having to go... My loss is your gain... Look at my feedback, bid with confidence. Call with questions 4798569997 or text.... located in lowell arkansas 72745 On May-08-14 at 09:31:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I am 38 and back at college.. I have been asked may question, and with finals this week I am sorry for not getting back to everyone... Here is an email I wrote talking about the bike: I am second owner... First owner missed turn and rode straight into a curb.... Broke the wheel, rotors, and brakes... He went over the faring and broke it with chest and legs... He got the insurance money, didn't fix the bike, and let me buy it... STILL HAS CLEAN TITLE. Carbon fiber air box, and pipe... Wired headlight for both to be on and the both be high when high beam switch is flipped.. For speedo to work u will need to take the piece of metal out of old front wheel mak it fit n zx wheel and the machine down side of the wheel to make a little space for the sensor to slide into... The sensor is like a wheel spacer that rides on the axel between the wheel and the fork... When it senses the piece n the wheel go by it-it sends a signal to the speedo ... More times is goes passed the higher the mph.... Both wheels were the same diameter so if using a stock size tire the speedo should be right on... It was a winter project I never completed, thought I would get to it, when ever the tire needed replaced... The bike is fast, so I knew when I was speeding... Not as fast as a zx12 or my busa... But about as fast as my ducati 996, just didn't handle as well and weighs a bit more. As far as the using the zx12 forks... After I decided to do it. I used the zx front end... The triple clap stem was a little larger so I used one ball bearing from one of the bike and measured and ordered a needle bearing that would work for the top... There is no slop and rides perfect... I thought is steered harder than my ducati, then I realized the front tired was real low on air lol aired it up and been riding since.... After a few hundred miles I road a lot of wheelies to stress the front... Figured I would be a little hard on it and see if the bearing became sloppy.. Nothing perfect... I honestly wouldn't be selling the bike expect for my wife says race car or bike not both.... Race car won the choice.... I would like to see someone finish it and see it be in a Triumph magazine... Idk... Hope all this helps... Look at my feedback on eBay 100%. In my pictures I have included pics of two of my old bikes. I don't have junk. $750 deposit is required for winning bidder. Rest is required before pick-up....Sincerely,stefan
