I recently purchased this car from a gentleman who had owned the car since 1982 and completed a total restoration in the 80s. It was recently repainted professionally and has show quality paint. I have done a good job highlighting the positives and negatives on this car below so please read. This car was produced on June 10th, 1964. It came with a 3.00 real axel. It was repainted its original CODE 3 Poppy Red in a base coat/clear coat paint. The job was done very well and the car is looks stunning. A few items I would like to highlight which I'm not so happy with: The horn doesn't work, the doors need to be shut pretty hard, and sometimes rub or overlap when the windows are totally up. I usually keep the top and windows down. Driver door vent window seems to rub the windshield pillar a little. The door gaps are good when the doors are shut but it seems like there still needs to be some adjustment left to make the doors shut better. The engine has rebuilt several years ago and doesn't have many miles, it been sitting and it DOES blow some blue smoke on start up and a little while operating. Probably hardened valve seats from lack of use. The top is old and it does have some tiny little holes which I have photographed. The top does do down with the switch but it DOES need help going back up. A couple of the window cranks fall off periodically, not sure why the clips aren't keeping them in place. The center console isn't really fixed 100% to the floor, it's kind of set in place. The shifter is also a little funny, it doesn't sit flush to the console. Lastly the car has had some patches and work done underneath as well as the inner wheel wells. It wasn't the most professional job but it was effective. This is very common work on these very early Mustangs. I did a good job taking photos of the floors, trunk and rockers so you can see what I am referring to. The interior is in pretty good condition. The upholstery is old and does have a few stains/spots that aren't perfect. The original radio is not functional however there is a modern AM/FM CD player mountain the glove box which does work. The remote mirror is functional and so is the fuel gauge, temperature gage, idiot lights, odometer, and Speedometer (needle bounces) top is in pretty good shape and as you can see has some pinholes on both sides. The rear interior quarter panel panels could use some work (ripping at the seam). The center console also shows age and the console doors don't exactly open and close like they should. The shifter indicator is not mounted flush to the console but is fixed to the floor.The car has good tires and excellent steel styled wheels which look great. The engine was rebuilt in 1982 and has about 10,000 miles on the rebuild. It runs pretty well and has good power. Like I mentioned above, a little blue smoke on start up. It has a couple of small drips. The car has the correct finned radiator support to cool the original generator which was used in 1964 1/2 only Overall this is an excellent driver quality car. Being a 1964 1/2, painted poppy read it is a pretty rare car. I have been very accurate and honest about my description. Up for auction is my "F" Code 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible with what appears to be the original 260 V-8 engine and C-4 automatic transmission. I recently purchased this car from a gentleman who had owned the car since 1982 and completed a total restoration in the 80s. It was recently repainted professionally and has show quality paint. I have done a good job highlighting the positives and negatives on this car below so please read.

This car was produced on June 10th, 1964. It came with a 3.00 real axel. It was repainted its original CODE 3 Poppy Red in a base coat/clear coat paint. The job was done very well and the car is looks stunning.

A few items I would like to highlight which I'm not so happy with: The horn doesn't work, the doors need to be shut pretty hard, and sometimes rub or overlap when the windows are totally up. I usually keep the top and windows down. Driver door vent window seems to rub the windshield pillar a little. The door gaps are good when the doors are shut but it seems like there still needs to be some adjustment left to make the doors shut better. The engine has rebuilt several years ago and doesn't have many miles, it been sitting and it DOES blow some blue smoke on start up and a little while operating. Probably hardened valve seats from lack of use. The top is old and it does have some tiny little holes which I have photographed. The top does do down with the switch but it DOES need help going back up. A couple of the window cranks fall off periodically, not sure why the clips aren't keeping them in place. The center console isn't really fixed 100% to the floor, it's kind of set in place. The shifter is also a little funny, it doesn't sit flush to the console. Lastly the car has had some patches and work done underneath as well as the inner wheel wells. It wasn't the most professional job but it was effective. This is very common work on these very early Mustangs. I did a good job taking photos of the floors, trunk and rockers so you can see what I am referring to.

The interior is in pretty good condition. The upholstery is old and does have a few stains/spots that aren't perfect. The original radio is not functional however there is a modern AM/FM CD player mountain the glove box which does work. The remote mirror is functional and so is the fuel gauge, temperature gage, idiot lights, odometer, and Speedometer (needle bounces) top is in pretty good shape and as you can see has some pinholes on both sides. The rear interior quarter panel panels could use some work (ripping at the seam). The center console also shows age and the console doors don't exactly open and close like they should. The shifter indicator is not mounted flush to the console but is fixed to the floor.

The car has good tires and excellent steel styled wheels which look great. The engine was rebuilt in 1982 and has about 10,000 miles on the rebuild. It runs pretty well and has good power. Like I mentioned above, a little blue smoke on start up. It has a couple of small drips. The car has the correct finned radiator support to cool the original generator which was used in 1964 1/2 only

Overall this is an excellent driver quality car. Being a 1964 1/2, painted poppy read it is a pretty rare car. I have been very accurate and honest about my description.
