Vehicle Detail
This is the "Lords of the Car Hoards" SLAM and CP Kustoms shop truck. Chuck took the truck in on trade about 4 years ago just as pictured EXCEPT we added new Torque Thrust wheels, new BFG Long Trail Tires, we re-upholstered the front and rear seats, added seat belts, an Edlebrock Carb, a trailer hitch/wiring, and a new rear gas tank. The tires, wheels, front rotors/brakepads have less than 1000 miles on them. The engine runs strong and will tow anything. It also runs very cool whether you are towing or not. It is cold blooded, on chilly am's it takes a few minutes to warm up. The transmission shifts great and feels like it may have had a "shift kit" for towing installed in its past. The rear diff, trans and engine all have fresh fluids. It has a dual exhaust system with 2 flowmaster mufflers. Sounds a bit throaty but not obnoxious. The truck does leave SMALL oil drips, nothing major. The odometer says 11,380 but we believe it is 111,380 BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE that. The body looks to have it's original paint. There is 2 or 3 small spots that look like a previous owner tried repairing with a tad of filler and some red oxide primer (check pics). There is a few rust thru spots and we tried to show closeups of them in the pics. the front and rear floors are SOLID. The doors and rear gate are SOLID and close like it. The glass is great all around, the windshield does have a small corner on the bottom that looks stained but nothing major. The windows all function properly, the electric rear window works but sometimes it hesitates and you have to wiggle the key to get it to work. May be the contacts on the switch. Steering and brakes work good for a 1974.The headlights/taillights/brakelights do work. The front brakelines look dry and should be replaced. The gas guage does not always work. The transfer valve to switch from front to rear fuel tanks does work well, which reminds me we rebuilt it and flushed out the complete fuel system when we replaced the rear fuel tank. We disconnect the battery when the truck sits for a while BECAUSE we believe the rear window switch sometimes drains the battery. The ignition switch is a bit sensitive and sometimes you have to wiggle the key a bit, like the rear window. The headliner needs to be replaced, whats left of it. It does have a dash pad,not shown in the pics but its in rough shape. It is a factory A/C truck but the A/C does not work,we have the old compressor and it will be included in the sale . We have tried to list all of the good, bad and ugly about this truck. It is and excellent candidate for a hotrod or restoration and everything in between. The best way to describe this vehicle is a running/driving project vehicle. We cannot be responsible for shipping, but can recommend a few companies that we believe are reliable. We do except paypal. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!
