This 1988 5.0lt V8 Mustang McLaren is #1588 made out of (I was told) a total seven year production of 2678. it is one of 1015 mclarren convertibles built in 1988! It was owned for 14 years by a minister in cascade Wisconsin. He traded it in to a chrysler dealership I do business with due to him losing interest in keeping the car. He bought this car originally for his wife as it was her dream car, she lost a battle to cancel in decemeber thus he didnt want the car any longer. It has had 1 repaint (which was done very nicely) and does not show any noticable wear. It was mainly used for special events (parades, shows etc) and was not driven hard. I took pictures and video of any minor common for the age spots I did see. This car runs outstanding! It was driven here from over 2 hours away and it drove like a dream! The engine runs great, has lots of power with no smoke knocks or misses. The interior looks great except for a tear in the seams of the driver side seat. We had our local upholstery shop quote us under 100 dollars to fix it but we decided to list it the way it is as they are backed up with the spring business and can't get to it right away. The tires and wheels look good. The top looks good. (be sure to watch the video to see how it opens and shuts, pretty neat!) the guages are all working as far as I can see as well as the power options. The miles show 40796 but as the car is over ten years old they are exempt.
