I have for sell an absolutely gorgeous 2002. I did not plan to sell this car but due to my financial obligation in other areas of my life, unfortunately it must go!. Here is what I know of it's history and details; - It was purchased new in 1971 from Helane Motors, Inc BMW dealer located in Alhambra, Ca. ( original handwritten sales contract indicates the date, selling prices of $3941 and dealer installed options of A/C plus AM/FM stereo for $511 plus tax and DMV fees of course!) - The original gentleman whom bought it new, remarried later on and his new wife took ownership all the way up to 2010. - I'm not sure who bought it from her in 2010 but it was purchased in 2012 by a gentleman in Florida and got shipped there. - I bought it from him last year and brought it back to California. - It still has the original Ca blue plate but DMV made me re register it with new white plates. - I have applied for DMV legacy plate to get the blue plates back on. - There is a one inch thick folder showing parts receipts and services performed dating all the way back to 1971! - Documented only about 85000 miles since new! - All original with the exception of the Webber carb (receipt included). - Everything in working condition, even the original AM/FM installed in 1971! - There is a dealer installed 8 track player under the driver's seat, how cool is that?? - The A/C is intact, compressor, fan, switches, it works but might need to be charged. - The car went through a complete and professional strip down repaint about three years ago, it shines beautifully and I can't find any paint blemishes. - Here is the best part, NO RUST! I can not find any rust anywhere, underneath, trunk, engine area, etc! - Interior is in excellent condition, only the usual cracks on the dash. - The cars runs great, engine is strong, 4 speed transmission goes through gears perfectly. - No California smog required. I'm not going to make this long, I'll let the pictures and the info above speak for themselves, one think I can assure is that you'll be hard pressed finding another with this original California history and condition. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, I do have a few more photos. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of history, I will regret selling this car. I might consider a trade of a clean 1987 to 90 two door 325is with 5 speed transmission.
