1974 VW Bus Westfalia Hardtop Camper Original German Paint Survivor! This is a very nice bus, it is originally from California and has spent about the last twenty years in Texas. As you can see from the pictures there is very little rust on this bus. There is a little bit under the front windshield a very small spot below the back right corner of the back window. The front floors have just a bit of surface rust. The wheel wells, rockers and sliding door track are all rust free as well as the undercarriage. This bus has had the battery tray patched with metal. This is a very dry bus! The body is very straight with only a few imperfections. As good as the exterior is, the interior is where this bus really shines. The birch headliner is perfect! The Westy cabinets are in wonderful shape with almost no delaminating. The seats, z-bed and rear cushion have been recovered and are in great shape. The carpet is in great shape as well. This bus is ready to camp with a sink, water reservoir and icebox. The sink pump needs an electric motor or could be converted to a hand pump. The bus runs and drives with a strong 1800 cc motor that has a new carb, new battery, new foam seal and new plugs. All of the doors open and close as they should including the sliding door. The windows roll up and down easy and the glass is free of any cracks. The odometer shows a little over 10k, from the condition of the bus I would believe it to be 110k but can’t be sure. Finally, this bus is riding on new Hankook tires that are load rated for this bus and have less than 5000 miles on them.
