These old BMWs are just a joy to ride. They are so solidly built and they float down the road so smoothly that it's impossible to wipe the smile off your face as you ride along. In a word, charming. This one has just been gone through by our vintage BMW specialist. The valves, ignition timing and carburetors were adjusted. It starts up easily, the engine is very quiet, and it runs along like a little sewing machine. The tires are in excellent shape. If you are into super clean bikes that aren't so perfect that you are scared to ride them, this is the bike for you! It looks gorgeous overall with nice, shiny paint and chrome, but does have the imperfections and mild corrosion on small items here and there that come with use. So, it's stunning to look at, just not a perfect show bike. The most noticeable imperfections on it are a large chip in the paint at the rear edge of the gas tank, some scratches on the front fender, and a bend at the front right lip of the front fender. If, however, you are into restoring bikes, this one has matching engine and frame numbers and it is mechanically rock solid, so it would be a perfect candidate for a full restoration.
