Vehicle Detail
INTRODUCTION::: You are bidding on a 1975 Subaru wagon 4wd, this is a very very rare Subaru wagon, this is the very first year Subaru offered 4wd and it was only offered on the wagon body style. The 1975-77 wagons are very rare and look slightly different than the more common 1978-79wagons. This wagon has the original 1975 grill which is specific only to this year. It also has the racks and sunroof option; I also have parts to the AC unity which was originally installed in this wagon but was taken out by the previous owner. I bought this car originally because I wanted to do a full restoration but I have way too many restoration projects right now so I have to sell this car because I know I would not be able to get to this project for some time. The car runs and drive fine I have driven it over a 100miles now but I would suggest doing a tune up because it tends to idle high, basically to make it a reliable daily driver I would recommend doing a tune up and checking over some hoses, cables and all sorts of other stuff to make it a solid driver. Its a fun car to drive and the 4wd works perfectly... BODY::: The body will need some work for sure there are few dents through out the car but there is very minimal rust and there are no rust holes in the body. The rear passenger side looks as if it has been hit in the past and someone fixed it and repainted it because there is some bondo in that area as you can see in the pictures. There is very minimal rust under the car, the under carriage is actually in in great shape considering its age. MECHANICAL::: The car runs and drives but will need a tune to be 100%, but I have taken it on the freeway and it does well it just has a hard time idling at stop lights. The transmission shift smooth and the four wheel drive works well. All of the electrical works well, the lights all light up, turn signals work, the heater works, windshield washers and wipers work. INTERIOR::: The dash has few cracks in it, the drivers seat is really bad, but passenger seat and the rear seats are in good shape. The headliner is also in very good shape with no rips, and all of the door panels are in good shape with just some small scuff.. CONCLUSION::: This could be a very nice and rare car if this was restored, I have not seen a 1975-77 subaru wagon 4wd for sale in the last 2years anywhere and I have been looking;; so I know this is definitely a rare car. But this car will need some work to make it a nice reliable daily drive. Or hopefully someone can restore this car to its full glory because it would be a very nice rare wagon when done.
