rickyoday Store 1938 DODGE D8, 4 DOOR SEDAN, RUNNING BARN FIND! I bought this Dodge last year from the original owners family, with the intent of restoring it. I recently bought a home, so now I need money more than I need the car. The car was parked in the barn by the original owner in 1974, with the intention of restoring it at a later date. The car is in good original condition, but was not running. After a few days of messing with it, we got it started, and it ran like it had been run the week before! We rebuilt the carb, replaced the vacuum advance on the distributor, installed new reproduction wires, plugs, tune up kit, and installed a 6 volt electric fuel pump. The car has the 6 cylinder 230 engne, 3 speed on the floor trans, and is 6 volt positive ground. A turn signal kit was added by the previous owner. The car has a big dent in the right side rear roof, front right fender, and in the trunk lid.(see pictures) The interior of the car appears to be original except the front seat has an aftermarket cover. The interior smells like mouse, so it will need to be cleaned or replaced. The original spare tire is there, but the jack and handle are missing. All the tires hold air, but are dry checked, so theyll need replaced. All four hubcups have small scratches and dents. The exhust system is shot, and will need to be replaced. The engine does run well. In the engine pictures youll notice the upper radiator hose is out....we were in the process of changing it when I took the pictures. All the glass is good, but much of the rubber gaskets are old and hard. The rubber running board covers were missing before I bought the car.(see pics) The floors look good from the bottom of the car, but it will take a lot of effort to get the floor mats up since the are either glued or stuck fast to the floor. The trunk floor looks good, but has some rust at the rubber gaskets(see pics). I will try to get the mats up this week for pics. ENGINE # D8-II 3304, STAMPED IN FIREWALL: 58949, FIREWALL TAG(red): D8 59901TS, SERIAL NUMBER: 30095545. I have new rubber brake lines, new wheel cylinder rebuild kits, replacement license plate light body and lens, a new lock with keys for the trunk. Also included are new reproduction service and parts manuals for the car., and a new 6 volt battery. I amsure Ive forgotten to include other info, so please ask questions, BEFORE the last day of the auction! The car has a CLEAR PA TITLE, and is available for viewing...please email to make an apoointment to see it! THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE IS! NO WARRANTY IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED! SHIPPING COSTS AND ARRANGEMENTS ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER! THE CAR CAN BE STORED FOR ONE MONTH FROM SALE DATE, AND I CAN ASSIST IN LOADING. A $300. DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END! BALANCE DUE IN CASH PRIOR TO OR AT TIME OF VEHICLE PICKUP. VEHICLE MUST BE PAID IN FULL WITHIN 14 DAYS OF AUCTIONS END!
