Description For sale is a 1985 4 door BMW 318i. This car has been in the family since bought new from a dealership and picked it up from Germany where it was shipped to U.S. My Aunt and Uncle bought it new and stored it every winter. Since 85’, the car has only seen one winter on the road. It has been extremely well taken care of and had annual dealer inspections. It’s a 5 speed transmission with the 1.8L inline 4 cylinder engine. Only visible wear is the paint on the hood has some fading and scuffs in places, the driver’s side rear door lock actuator needs replaced, and the driver’s side seat has a small hole in it due to the seat spring breaking (the spring was repaired with welds but is still a bit soft in my opinion). The driver’s side quarter panel has been replaced and repainted (see pictures). I tried to show the paint tape lines from the quarter panel replacement. The quarter panel was replaced with a new weld in unit not a used donor. The car was equipped with cruise control and AC from the factory. The AC belt was removed and the cruise control lever was broken. Prior to the lever breaking off the cruise control worked very well. I am unsure of the story behind the AC. The compressor and lines are still in place. The car has 152,150 miles and gets anywhere between 25-30 mpg. All the fluids have been checked and topped off along with a new oil change that has less than 150 miles on it. It's PA state inspected & Emissions until 7/14 the tires are good however the front tires are tapered with more tread on the inner fender side than the outside. The wet floor in the garage is due to just washing the car. I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in this car and drive it anywhere! Update: Last week there was a day the roads were dry so I took it in town for the first time in a few months. It ran great but I did notice two things I forgot to mention above. The turn signal/multi function handle has been replaced and for some reason moves around on the rod; also the clock works but it has a bad connection so it doesn't always light up.Feel free to call/text 814-880-693four I can provide more details or answer questions.
