1977 Mercedes Benz 450SL w/ under 73,000 miles! That's less than 2,000 miles/year, not bad for a 37 year old car from Georgia. This car is light blue, with dark blue interior & soft top, and white hard top. I have owned this classic since May 2008, has always been garaged, and has never seen rain. Comes with an 450 SL Owners Manual and a Engine/Chassis/Units Catalog "C" exploded parts diagram from Daimler-Benz. The Good: 5/2008 - Complete mechanical check over by a Bosch Authorized Service Center (70,819 Miles). Previous owner installed new brakes, calipers & rotors. 8/2008 - New Pioneer DEH-2000MP Radio/CD Player w/ Coaxial Speakers. Have the owners manual and remote. 8/2008 - New Fan Clutch / Flush & Fill Cooling System 9/2008 - (4) New Sumitomo HTR 200 Tires 6/2009 - Complete Tune Up by a Bosch Authorized Service Center 9/2009 - New Bosch Fuel Pump and Filter 7/2010 - New Paint/Clear Coat by a professional body man, Alloy Wheels painted and clear coated, New Vinyl Seats/Padding, and New Carpeting. (Went with vinyl as it wears better than leather and is more resistant to the sun.) 4/2011 - New Sun Visors 8/2013 - New Battery The Not So Good: Car does not currently have a catalytic converter in the exhaust system. (Not required where I live.) I do have an after market cat that will come with the car. The hard top is white, in fair condition, and is not original to the car. The hard top was on the car when I bought it, and has been covered and stored on a stand/cart ever since which is also included. The soft top is in fair condition as it may be original. I have only had it up a couple of times to show people how it works. There are a few minor pieces of interior trim that is not installed or missing. (1 or 2 Seat hinge covers.) I have a box of misc parts and trim that will also go with the car. Pretty sure the missing trim is in the box. Car starts fine when cold, but is difficult to start when warm. The problem not untypical with 450 SL's. I have driven this car for the last 5 summers, and it has never failed to start. A/C is not working. All the components are there to my knowledge. It wasn't working when I bought the car, and I never had it looked at. Top was always down when we were cruising thru the countryside. Clock does not work. Please contact me with any questions.
