I bought this truck on impulse as I had not seen a real F36 truck for sale in some time. I really don’t have the time for it, I have quite an extensive car collection as it is, so here is your chance to own the best truck Ford put on the road. 1979 is the most desired Ford 4x4 year, the real deal Factory F350 made only in 79. Rare and very limited production run. I bought this truck from the original owner’s family. I have the build sheet, warranty card, owner’s manual and some other paperwork. I’m told the 81k miles are original, the lack of wear and no slop or play in any components lead me to believe it. This truck was mature owned, is mostly stock. This truck is incredibly tight, no slop in trans, clutch, steering, suspension etc. The motor is stock, runs strong, no smoke. Dual fuel tanks. Truck starts right up, I drove it 25 miles the other day, no complaints. Only item I noticed that needs attention is a leaking exhaust donut gasket on the passenger side. BODY This truck is original paint, all original body panels. The doors shut 1 finger, I cant see any signs of any panel being removed at any point. The lines are incredible for a 35 year old truck. The truck is really rust free except for rust above the driver side rear fender well. Not hard to fix, but no noticeable rot anywhere else. This truck was stored in a barn it’s entire life, the barn leaked right onto that fender well. The tailgate is included but damaged. Owner forgot to drop the gate when he pulled away from his 5th wheel trailer. The interior is clean and original, the gauges work. Nothing looks like it has ever been taken apart. The tires hold air, but have dry rot, they need to be replaced. Crack is driver side windshield. The original AM radio works. This truck is the tightest non-restored 70’s pickup I’ve driven (I’ve owned 30 or so) It needs minor things to be a great daily driver. I love these old trucks, a little history I know or think I know. I’m no Ford truck historian. 1979 was the only year of this body style that you could get a real F350 with the Dana 60 front end. In 78 you could get the Dana 60 as an option but the truck is F26 meaning F250 instead of F36 for F350. Most of these trucks were junked because they were used, and the King Pin Dana 60 axle has been the most sought after axle for many years for rock crawlers or upgrading lower end trucks leading the F36 trucks to the scrapper. That axle alone sells for $1500-2000 depending where you are. I’ve been told only a few thousand of these F36 trucks were produced, with a small number still in existence. Please look at the pics on the link above, pics of the paperwork on that link as well. I have a clear clean Idaho state title signed off, not dated or sale priced in the PO’s name. I can give that to you with bill of sale, or I can transfer to my name in WA, but we will have to wait 8 weeks for me to get it back from the state. I have a shipping broker who has shipped dozens of vehicles for me, I will pass on his info, or use your shipper. I require a $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal directly after auction conclusion, the rest bank to bank wire or cashiers check within 5 days.
