Vehicle Detail

VOLKSWAGEN TYPE III , 1967 , DESCRIBED BY VOLKSWAGEN AT THE TIME AS , "THE FAMILY CAR". THIS VW HAS NOT MOVED IN 6 YEARS, IT STARTED UP ABOUT A MONTH AGO. IT HAS HAD A LOT OF MONEY SPENT ON IT OVER THE YEARS, THE BIGGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT EXPENSE WAS A COMPLETE FLOOR PAN, NOT PATCHED HERE AND THERE, A WHOLE NEW FLOOR WAS WELDED IN BY A PROFESSIONAL. IT HAS HAD SEAT BELTS ADDED . THE SEATS ARE FROM A LATER MODEL AND THE BACK SEAT IS A HIGH TYPE BACK SEAT. THERE IS A WHOLE BUNCH OF SPARES, MAINLY RUBBER AND WINDOW TRIM. THE FRONT AND REAR WINDSHIELDS HAVE BEEN WORKED ON AT THE CHASSIS TO ENSURE A GOOD SEAL. IT NEEDS TIME AND EFFORT TO MAKE ROADWORTHY , SO, IT IS FOR THE VW ENTHUSIAST ONLY.
