For Sale; 1968 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham Convertible. Original, Numbers Matching, PMD documented and includes Protecto-Plate. This vehicle is a true classic. A distinguished muscle car, a big GTO. It is fully equipped and loaded with options. For Pontiac Excitement, it has the original 375 HP 428 Cubic Inch engine mated to the TH400 and performance gearing/towing package. 15 inch wheels with covers and front four piston disc brake calipers. This is the GTO’s big brother. For comfort it is equipped with the Brougham Package, which is luxury. For Style, it is the top of the line Pontiac and it is a rag top! It has strato-bucket seat, full power options, 8-track tape player. The only modifications include an edelbrock intake and carburetor; also an Accel HEI distributor (to meet California EPA.) Additional items include, but not installed are the original points distributor (used), correct intake manifold. Other items included but not installed is a new convertible top and back glass. The car is solid with minimal rust issues and will be an easy restoration. This car will make a great project and is complete with GM assembly manual. The vehicle was running and driving but needed a new brake master cylinder when parked and put into storage six years ago. The vehicle is not considered operational at this time but rather a restoration project. The vehicle is sold as is. It is being considered for sale due to relocation. The car has been in storage for 6 years and will need reconditioning to make operational furthermore, the appearance of the car will be determined by the extent of reconditioning and detailing. Some mechanical work, interior work, top replacement, body work and paint will be required to restore car, some options are non-working and some features are disassembled, but many replacement items are included, just not installed. The car is fully assembled except for the interior door panels and rear interior panels but are included. The car will run and drive except the brakes were soft when stored. The car looks good from a distance, and it was painted in 1983, so the paint is presentable, but there are dings and scratches and some minor rust issues, the stainless is good, but there is some pitting in the chrome. Some of molding/trim may be missing or dinged, but the car is well above average for 46 years.
