Please read this entire ad, prior to bidding. Thank you. I purchased this motorcycle from the estate of the original owner. He bought the bike new from a well known BMW dealer in Detroit (Andy Pelck. The bike had about 22500 actual miles when I bought it several years ago. The bike has always been maintained properly. It has always been stored indoors. The bike is mechanically excellent and starts, runs, and drives well. It stops as well as any 52 yr. old bike with "drum" brakes. It does not use oil, does not "smoke", and does not leak. It will usually start on first kick if you know the "drill". Cosmetics are very good for a motorcycle of this age that has not been restored. It has some nicks, scratches, rubs etc . The bike looks good overall and always gets "thumbs-up", and compliments wherever I take it. The paint on the tank and frame are original. The fenders appear to have had an amateur repaint years ago. The seat is all original, including the cover. Cover has a small tear near the rear. Tires are newer replacements with little wear and no cracks. Gas tank is rust free, still has factory red coating inside. Carbs have been professionally cleaned. New Petcock installed, original included in this sale. I will include the following items to the winning bidder.(original owners manual, original tools with non-original carrying pouch,original petcock, new light bulbs, extra ignition points, various original BMW nuts & Bolts. BMW insignias & Patches. I am providing 2 photos of these items in this ebay ad. Note: There is no title with this motorcycle. The title was lost by the people handling the original owners estate. I bought the bike on a bill of sale. I am selling the bike on a bill of sale. It will be the new owners responsibility to obtain a title. Check with your local DMV about this prior to bidding.
