1983 BMW R80ST Red 1983 BMW R80ST. Current mileage is 91,000 -- it runs strong. Purchased in Aug 09 from the ORIGINAL owner. It has been garaged all its life, adult ridden and well maintained. Never crashed but a couple parking lot tip-overs over the years. Upgrades made since I purchased: - EnDuraLast 32A charging system kit and new battery Feb 2011 - Heated grips Feb 2011 - Full service by Ted Porters Beemer Shop Feb 2011 (He did a great job on the EnDuraLast and heated grips installs and correcting some minor errors by previous owner) - SAE connector to battery (BatteryTender, heated vest, etc) - Cigarette lighter outlet installed (GPS, cell phone, etc) - Full repair and restoration of tachometer, odometer and speedometer by Palo Alto Speedo Dec 2009 - Front forks rebuilt by JPH Suspension directly after purchase - Tank roundels replaced with nice 3D style emblems March 2013 Upgrades by previous owner: - New exhaust valves at 37k - Push rod tube seals replaced at 52k (pistons not removed/disturbed) - SS brake line, new front brake piston assembly, EBC rear shoes (49k), replaced front disk - LED tail light on license plate bottom - Works Shock - Seat replaced at 64k. Have orig in good condition. - New panniers (tube lock extensions on brackets allowing for large left bag) - Slipstreamer wind screen Minor oil seepage as seen on this vintage but no drips. Oil and filter changed 3/2/14. Bodywork and paint in very good condition. In the pictures you can see the largest ding I could find, which is on the front fender a couple inches behind the forks. There are some minor scratches here and there on the bike, pretty much hair-line. Some fading on the right side battery cover; the left was replaced by previous owner a couple years before I bought it so it looks practically new. Clean title. Stock tool kit, Haynes manual and cover also go with the bike. I’ll even through in a Battery Tender if you’d like.
