Up for auction is this 1966 Coronet 440 2 door with only 72,500 miles. 318 polly motor ,automatic 727 transmission.new tune up wires ,plugs, cap,oil ect..Runs like new sounds great! Drives stright down the road. Updated interior power leather seats makes all the differance in how this Mopar drives and feels down the road.New carpet,still needs headlinner.No show car yet but a cool car to crusie and show off. Rat ride as it is or easy restore with your own choice of paint and chocie of your own mods.Coronet has a fuel cell.good heat.The brakes have all new wheel clyn. and shoes.several new brake lines as well.Car sold as is.The car sat for many years and the rear end does have a wine to a humm above 50 mph.may need a berring,may just need driven,gears seam fine,transmission shifts like it should.I did put in some rear end oil (was low)and it did help but I have only drove this car about 150 miles since tune up and brakes, before that car sat for 15 years. Rust free doors ,fenders hood and trunk for sure.All Lights and turnsingles work fine,good glass with no cracks. Frame does look like some welding was done see pic's. Any ??? So many ???. This Mopar does have a hum in rear end,will need some looking at. Drives but hums. again motor and trans are fine and came with the car. Speedo says 72600.miles and works ,Good tires,brakes,heat,glass,lights ,shocks .As far as I know ,the Coronet has bin a ohio car all its life. Looking at the body the bottom of the doors(lip) are clean,rust free,rockers look great,fenders are rust free,even the bottoms,(took a magnet )hood and tunk lid are rust free.I think the floor pan was patched,trunk pans clean,some body work on quarters around wheels, There still a couple of little dings on pass door and i think a ding on pass front fender,so some body work still need if going for repaint. Looks cool the way it is.but the frame was welded in spots(see pics) work done before i got it.So I want to make myself clear.CORONET is no show car,just a car to drive and show off.Rat ride, needs some work , SOLD AS Is.
