Vehicle Detail
Great car, lots of documentation. Could be re chromed in areas, but this thing is set up to be a great regular driver! Turns heads everywhere!!GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis is the unmolested low mileage third owner 1955 Chevy everybody is looking for. No high speed modifications on this one. This is a 4-door Model 210 Chevy sedan with six cylinders and a stick shift. It's been restored but kept as original as possible. This is a Califonia car that's never been wrecked and always been garaged.Recently, had full detail, rebuilt carburetor, new battery.Ask any questions before bidding! Bought off ebay about 10 years ago, here are the details I received from the original seller:VEHICLE HISTORY 1978 I purchased this Chevy from the son-in-law of the original 1955 purchaser of the car. The car had been stored in a garage since 1964 when the father-in-law decided to quit driving due to his age. Service receipts together with a 1955 newspaper stored in the trunk supported the 27,000 miles registered on the car at that time.1979 I had the muffler replaced and the front and back windows reset. The car was repainted solid blue, the original color, by Bob Hackbarth, a full-time professional vehicle painter, who specializes in truck tractor paint jobs. Bob also restores antique vehicles and paints hot rods for show at the Hot August Nights in Reno.1984 I had the seats in the car and the headliner replaced. Also the original owner was not good about changing the engine oil so I overhauled the engine. This engine now has 3,000 miles on it.1988 The muffler was replaced and I added the larger wheel covers.1993 Bob Hackbarth put on the current two-tone paint job using special colored paints that match a 1955 Chevy color scheme, Before painting, Hack removed the underlying paint and added new primer. Hack also removed the interior dash and window trims and painted them with the same paint as the body
