This auction is for a 1966 Ford Mustang. It is a factory 289 V-8. It has the following options: Automatic transmission, Power Steering, Factory console and Factory AC. The following are all in working condition: Lights- bright and dim, Temp gauge, Brake lights, Back-up lights, Turn signals, Fuel Gauge, Oil gauge, Courtesy lights, Amp gauge, Temp gauge, Windows roll up and down fine and the Vent windows open and close fine.The Transmission shifts in all gears and has no issues. The brakes work fine with no issues. The interior is in good condition but the carpet is faded. The horn does not work and the tires although have very good tread depth they are showing signs of dry rot. The AC was working this past summer but not sure if it is now. It blows cold now but it is also cold in Mississippi. The wheels including the spare are original and have the correct date codes. The paint is shiny and in good condition but there are numerous door chips along each side. The floor pans are solid and all the panels look to be in good condition. There are a few rust bubbles in one of the rear fenders just above the wheel opening (see picture). All the glass is good with no breaks or cracks. This car comes with the original window sticker and sales invoice along with the original owners manual.The car runs and drives very well and has plenty of power. The steering is straight as you drive down the road with no issues. The mileage reads 35670 but I don't know if this is the actual mileage. This is a really nice car that needs some TLC and would be a great father son daughter project that needs only a few items in order to make it a nice driver quality car. The paint needs touching up in the chips along the doors and the carpet could be re-dyed or replaced. Now for the main issue with the car, The engine will need work. It runs and has plenty of power with no missing or smoke but as it gets hot is starts to loose oil pressure at idle. Above idle and going down the road it has oil pressure but when you stop the oil pressure drops and the engine begins to make some noise from the lower end. The engine does not smoke at idle or going down the road. I have a very low reserve for this car. Much lower than cars that are rusted out are going for on e-bay. It would make some one a nice car with very little effort.
