Up for auction is a very unique Porsche 914. This car was built as a race car to compete in the Grassroots Motorsports 2007 Challenge. This is an original 914 4 cylinder car that has been converted to to a wide body 914-6 from fiberglass parts. There has been metal work done to the floor pans and other areas, but appears to be very solid and the work appears to have been done right. The car has been swapped to a Ford SHO v6 with 5 speed trans. The whole Ford subframe appears to have been mounted in the car with tube steel. The car starts immediately, pulls like it should and goes in and out of gear without any problems. As far as I can tell the car did compete in the 2007 Challenge and I have some time slips of around a 9.0 flat 1/8 mile, so the car is definitely near completion. The brakes feel good with a strong pedal and the steering is tight. This car is not 100% complete and will need some finishing details, but is 95% complete. The guages are not working and will need to be wired in. It does have a nitrous bottle but the lines are not attached. There is NO TITLE with this vehicle, and we are not sure of the year of the vehicle at this time. This car is being sold AS IS! Please call with any questions you may have or stop by to take a look.
