Up for auction is a 1985 Honda XL600r, classic 600cc thumper. Excellent running machine, starts well and idles perfectly. Owned for 3 years, about 500 miles put on the bike. Have factory blinkers, sump guard, and an extra set of wheels with studded tires. Cosmetically challenged, dings & scratches. Missing a side cover, fork gaitors ripped, seat cover ripped. Small oil leak at valve cover. Ride or restore. Low reserve. On Jan-29-14 at 10:51:52 PST, seller added the following information: Wanted to post the answers to some good questions: Oil leak: rider's left at valve cover. Weeps there when warm, if sitting idling it will smoke at this location. Not enough of a leak to ever register on the stick, and it has been the same since I have owned the bike. Does not burn oil or lose oil elsewhere. Just started the bike yesterday, temperature was -2. Started fine, rode it around the yard. No electric start on these bikes, has a decomp lever. Takes awhile to get the routine down. Bike has a current Vermont registration. Timely payment is important, please do not bid if you don't have the $$.
