Vehicle Detail
Original 383 charger now has 440. Car runs and drives great, auto tranny, posi with 3.23 gears I think. Interior is in really nice condition. It is runs drives sounds great. This is a very complete car that you can drive and enjoy now. The car is not perfect but is a very solid car. It had a white vinyl top originally, currently has no top. All trim, parts interior are there and car is in very good condition and clean. The body has dent front pass fender, and will need patch panel rear quarters and door corner. It had molding trim ran along the car which was removed, screw holes still there. The only thing this car needs to be very nice is body work and paint. Engine has mild cam in it. Have build sheet and fender tag. If you are looking for a 68 charger you can drive & enjoy now while improving later, this is the one. This is not a car you need to buy any real parts for, they are all there. This car sat for over 20 years so was not picked apart or molested other than engine change in 80's I was told. Ask any questions, I can also get more pics if you need them. Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction early if it sells. If you want to offer something fine, worst I can say is no. On Jan-18-14 at 07:58:57 PST, seller added the following information: Here is a link to a lot more pics and a video of it driving with sound. Some were taking when I first got the car, up to just this past summer when I started driving it. Tranny was rebuilt last spring by tranny shop. http://s1349.photobucket.com/user/mikew6300/library/On Jan-18-14 at 08:53:32 PST, seller added the following information: I keep getting asked about trades. Not really looking to trade, but might consider another like muscle car, or I also have a 71 R/T charger so possibly a 2 for 1 if it is right car.On Jan-18-14 at 21:39:58 PST, seller added the following information: Asked about broadcast sheet codes: 415,422,451,456,480,483,484,486,487503,509,511,512,514,516,517,522,536,564,565,579,581 589,627,624 think that's most of them. you can look em up online On Jan-19-14 at 09:39:34 PST, seller added the following information: Here is me number 425-614-5639 Mike - For those that need more detail info or pics, rather then playing email tag. On Jan-20-14 at 10:22:24 PST, seller added the following information: Response to some questions: If you want pics of anything in particular just ask I will get them (closeups, underneath, engine bay anything) , short of pulling out the interior (floor boars are solid so is trunk (had a guy look at it last night he thought is was very solid and as described), Any video or anything else. I keep getting asked about rust. The rear windows are not rusty, there is no real rust issue other than patches I explained. Underneath still has the factory coating, sure some light surface rust here or there, but this is not a rusty car. The car can be viewed if needed, or is you have someone in the area to look at it for you, just let me know. Also, as the car has met the reserve I pulled to local ad, and told those people interested to see ebay. As for the pic on photo bucket of the 2 white tags in the glove box, these are stickers from the dealer that show first 2 years service of the car. They are dated and show mileage when the service was performed. It also shows dealer numbers, I guess you could figure out the dealer some how with the number. I took car out yesterday, local buyer interested, it drives nice, has nice rumble and lil loud, car has edlebrock 650 carb currently (with he cam and engine I would probably up size this and let it breath more), small exhaust leak (at some point down road one might want to replace ex pipe underneath anyways but you don't have too, they look 40+ years old), also, there is a little less rubber on the tires now! The only gauge appears not to be working is temp gauge, I have aftermarket temp and oil press gauges installed, I never trust the 40+year old gauges in my cars anyways.
