1969 Jaguar XKE Series II offered by Gas Monkey Garage with No Reserve. The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive GT in two-seater coupé form. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made”. Hallmarks of Series 2 cars are open headlights without glass covers, a wrap-around rear bumper, re-positioned and larger front indicators and tail lights below the bumpers, better cooling aided by an enlarged "mouth" and twin electric fans, and uprated brakes. The engine is easily identified visually by the change from smooth polished cam covers to a more industrial "ribbed" appearance. The interior and dashboard were also redesigned. Air conditioning and power steering were available as factory options. We found this example having been store for some time needing restoration from 1979. There is significant rust in the tub. The front hood is in usable condition along with most of the front & rear suspension components (see all photos). There are 5X original wire wheels as well as the original engine & transmission that have been removed but are included. This XKE was outfitted with the optional factory A/C. Most of the Dash & Interior are present & usable as well as some of the glass(see all photos).Sold with bill of sale only-NO TITLE!
