The bike now has orange stripes on it, as in the one pic. I am the third owner of this fine adventure bike. I have owned it for five years. Last year it took me all the way to Panama, Central America! Because of my travels, I take extremely good mechanical care of it. Before I departed on my trip, we went through it with a fine tooth comb. It has had all of the bearings in the drive train replaced last winter. Last week I replaced the entire clutch. I change the oil every 3,500 miles. It is ready for all new adventures. This bike purrs down the wide open USA interstates and trucked through the rivers of Costa Rica. It is quite a performance machine. No wonder the 1150GS has become a cult of covet! The bike is black with orange vinyl stripes. The bike has a BMW passenger seat that comes with it, which is in like new condition (black). The main seat is in rough condition, with weather cracks throughout it. I have never bothered replacing it, because I have a great sheepskin cover. So I never have to see it. I am selling my travel friend, because I plan on starting a motorcycle adventure touring company and want a smaller dirt bike type to lead tours on. My philosophy is the BMW GS bikes are great on open roads and dirt and gravel roads, but too large for much trail riding. However if you find yourself crossing rivers and streams, they handle it like a beast going after it's prey! I am thoroughly impressed with BMW"s engineering. While in Central America, I was thousands of miles from a BMW dealership and felt 100% confident!
