My sincere apologies to All Bidders, Watchers, and of course, Porsche Enthusiasts, for any inconvenience. This Vehicle is being re-listed due to an error I've previously made, regarding the engine type on this Porsche 912. I have corrected this honest mistake, and have re-listed this vehicle now up for Auction. In addition, I have also posted additional information regarding this vehicle, have posted a couple of new photos of this Porsche and have further lowered the reserve price. This Porsche 912 will sell here on eBay, on this corrected & final listing. Any revisions will simply be added to the bottom of this final listing.Thank you for understanding. Good Luck Bidding! Hello Everyone,Here is the corrected & final listing for this vehicle; You are bidding on a: 1968 Porsche 912 Vehicle comes with a Salvage Title. Recently restored, Great daily driver, NOT a Concours car. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:1968 Porsche 912 with a 5 Speed Transaxle, Equipped with whats believed to be a 1.6L 912 Motor with 912 / 356 head (determined from the stamped code on the head) The Previous owner states it has the original 912 motor however, I personally cannot visually confirm that so, Im not saying it.The only other likely possibility is that this car has a 356 motor in it but, again, I am unable to verify the engine type. Most of the engine casting/stamping numbers are too worn, or illegible to verify the engine type.(Please look for any revisions for this listing at the bottom, as I continue to research more information regarding this motor). CODES: VIN Tag Breakdown:VIN# 12805047: 12 = 9128 = 19680 = Karmann (assembled)5047 = Serial Number of Porsche 912 Door Tag:6807 = Sand Beige Color (Paint code 510) G = Paint by Glasurit Transmission:1284336Type 902/2, 5 Speed Transmission; Year Correct for this 1968 Porsche 912. Head:616.104.301.1R (912 or 356 Head). The remaining casting/stamped numbers I was able to locate, are too worn or illegible for me to read.I'll leave any conclusions up to the experts and the bidders. CAR DETAILS:This car runs and handles good. The engine runs great but needs idle tuning. Small Exhaust leak should be looked at as well. Engine Idle is set higher than normal due to the motor needing tuning. The engine has a very small oil leak common for these air cooled motors. The exact location of this tiny leak is undeterminedThere are no grinds on the gears. The car shifts good, brakes good, and the brakes are in good condition. The motor comes with dual Dell'Orto CarbsThe exhaust is fiberglass wrapped. The Coach, Undercarriage, Engine Bay, and Trunk have been Rubber sprayed with hard rubber coating/liner.The Car has been recently Painted, exact date is unknown.Any rust areas prior to it being painted is unknown. All of the exterior & interior lights works, as well as the dash instruments. The headliner, seats, panels, & interior overall is in great Shape. All of the minimum safety items (windshield wipers, etc.) work. HISTORY:The previous damage History of this Porsche is undocumented and unknown so please, assume the worse on the Salvage Title. The most common reason a salvage title is issued to a car, is when any damage incurred to a car, exceeds a certain percentage of the actual value of the car.
