LOWERED RESERVE1983 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler One of a Kind, Over the Top Build Starting with a Jeep Scrambler purchased out of New Mexico, this rust free CJ8 was transformed into the "Do Anything - Go Anywhere" rig that you see here. It was built over a 3 year timeframe with the intention of not only being driver friendly, but also extremely dependable. This Jeep has been my primary daily transportation and within the past couple of years it has been driven approximately 20,000 miles each year. The thought of selling this Jeep was never in the gameplan but things have changed and this is the first time it has been offered. Below is just a partial list of the modifications on this Scrambler. 4 BT Cummins Diesel - All new: 19 to 1 pistons, decked head with fire rings, ported and polished valve job. P7100 pump, Intercooler, HX35 Turbo. Tach, Boost, and Pyrometer Guages. NV4500 5 Speed Transmission, 27% Overdrive. Dana 300 Transfer Case, 4 to 1 Gear Redeuction, Twin Sticks. GM 14 Bolt Rear, 5:13 Gear, ARB Air Locker / Dana 60 Front, 5:13 Gear, Detroit Locker. Disc Brakes on all 4. Heavy Duty High Angle Steering. Flaming River Steering Shaft. Tom Woods Driveshaft. (Spare back-up rear driveshaft mounted on rollbar) 5 - 42" Super Swamper Iroks on 5 - Trail Ready Beadlocks. 14 Gallon Factory Fuel Tank and 20 Gallon Aluminum Auxiliary Tank. (Fuel can be transferred while driving) Bumpers, Rock Sliders, Basket, Rails, Skidplates, and In - Cab Full Cage Rollbar, designed and fabricated by myself. Fully equipped with a Warn 8000lb Winch, ARB Air Compressor and Tank, Toolbox and Trays, Tuffy Lock Box Console, 60" High Lift Jack with Accessories, Axe, Shovel, Sand Mats... and much, much, more! You can off road this on Sunday and then drive to work 70 mph on the interstate on Monday while getting 18 - 20 mpg!
