Vehicle Detail

At Speed Motors focuses upon investment-level Porsches. I have owned, raced, serviced, and collected Porsche cars for over 18 years and come across wonderful examples for your consideration. Check out my website at the same name dot com. Absolutely wonderful Porsche 1963 356B/60. This is a ONE OWNER car that was stored for many years after the owner's death. It is fully documented back to mile #1 including: the original Bill of Sale, the original Owner's Manual, the original Porsche Service Book, and every record detailing every single mile in the car's life!! It had one "incident" on July 20, 1978 that was so minor that the estimate was $93...that's right...$93!!! Thus, no body panels were ever changed leaving a number's matching engine/transmission and number's matching bodywork car that has been almost completely unmolested. Geographically, the car traveled from California to Alabama, and then to Maryland in 1972. In fact, we have the original Maryland title from November 27, 1972 still in the owner's name. There is ZERO rust on the car/under the car or anywhere to be found. Repainted its original color in 1977 and then again in 1987, the car remains largely original. The interior including the dash, gauges (there is an aftermarket tach bought in 1968, but we have the original one! The owner also added an aftermarket oil pressure gauge which works fine.), knobs, brightwork, seats, headliner, sun visors, and all side/back glass is completely original. Interior carpeting was replaced with the repaint in 1977, but not since. The boot area is nearly 100% original including the correct date-stamped (November 1962) spare rim. At one point, the owner added a 12v circuit tied to a second battery in the boot to power his radio (in the glove box). We have largely removed this and will complete that upon the sale if desired. I was contacted to appraise the car after the estate decided to sell it. It was in a very nice garage with lots of items inside it and in the trunk. The tires were flat, the battery dead, and there was a layer of dust and grime all over everything. However, the oil was fresh/clean and the environment was perfectly dry. After a thorough service, a top-side detail, draining and changing all fluids, the battery was replaced, tires checked, and she started right up! Literally, within 5 minutes it was running and running perfectly. I have since driven the car all over to make sure of its reliability and it is one of the best 356's I've driven...period. It pulls in every gear, tracks wonderfully straight, and easily cruises at over 90 without any sign of strain. All gauges work perfectly and the oil temperature runs right where it should. All of the little items inherent to an original 356 are here. All of the knobs are correct, the side windows wonderful, the crest original, all exterior brightwork is there and original, and the rims are stunning and original. If you are looking for a time machine that you can enjoy, that is reliable, and has no missing heritage from day one...you've found it. Please see my 100% feedback rating and bid with confidence. I have been involved, racing, servicing, and selling Porsche's for over 18 years and this is a wonderful car to enjoy or turn into a show-winning concours machine. As you know, most of the 356's out there have been a rust-bucket at one point or another and are missing all kinds of records/heritage due to their age. Not this one on either count. Please contact me with any questions at 703-627-9991. I would consider trades, but only air-cooled Porsches or a GT3RS 4.0. My thanks, Bob.
