Here is a rare opportunity to own a near perfect early Bridgestone 175. When I undertake a restoration, my goal is always to get the bike as close to "out of the crate" condition as is humanly possible, and very few people pay the attention to detail that I do. I seldom sell any of my bikes, and I hope this one goes to a serious collector where it will be appreciated and cared for. I have owned the bike for about 20 years, and completed a full restoration 10 years ago. It has been ridden approximately 400 miles since then, and has had the fluids drained and been in climate controlled storage for the past 7 years. I gathered an enormous stock of NOS parts which were used, and except for the frame, swing arm, and sheet metal, the bike was largely constructed with NOS parts. Some of the major items were the crankshaft, generator, both wheel assemblies, both cylinders and pistons, oil pump, headpipes, etc. etc. I bought all these parts many years ago when they could still be found; a restoration of this caliber could probably never be done again due to the scarcity now of NOS parts. The only items not new or refurbished are the mufflers--they are original, in very nice shape, but not up to the concours quality standards of the rest of the bike. They are straight, and could be rechromed to perfection if desired.
