One of a kind loaded 1982 El Camino front wheel drive prototype This loaded El Camino was given to me by a friend who was a GM Mechanic (I am not) who has since passed away. He always said this prototype would get 30 mpg on hwy with the 3800 engine. I have taken it to one car show when I first got it about five years ago and it received a first place. Since that time of use, there are a few things that no longer make it a show car in my book “not perfect”. Heater does not shut off, air no longer works, dash lights don't come on, horn does not blow and paint is not as shinny as it once was but body is still nice. It has been my daily driver since I have had it because it gets very good gas mileage. I have always stored it during winters so the body is clean and this year it would be time to put it away for the season but I can use the extra space so I am letting it go to the highest bidder over starting price. I am starting with a very very low price but being this is the only Front Wheel Drive El Camino I have ever seen I would think it will go for much more but time will tell. I think it was build with a Park Ave (seats say ParkAve) so it rides and drive very nice. It's a one of a kind that I know of.
