2006 BMW R1200GS has been my companion on many road trips and is ready for your next adventure.- 24,000 mi. service performed by BMW Motorcycles Scottsdale- Fresh Metzler Tourance tires with 90% tread remaining- New AGM Battery in 2012- One owner, always garaged and plugged into battery tender - No accidents, no issues, no stories- Title is free and clear. Photos / Accessories (aka Farkles & custom bits)I have spent thousands upgrading this motorcycle to make it the perfect companion for long road trips and motorcycle camping. Upgrades include:- BMW Vario cases - both cases lock with the ignition key, no extra keys to carry. Right side bag will hold a XXL full face helmet when fully expanded- Touratech Tank Bag - This rugged tank bag is water resistant and expandable. Large map pocket easily handles maps, directions printed on letter paper, or your favorite tablet device. Lots of storage pockets, a glove holder, and large handle. Straps convert the tank bag into a backpack.- Touratech Tail bag - Tail bag is made to secure to the GS tail rack and like the tank bag is water resistant and expandable. Allows full use of the rear seat and grab handles.- GS Light Bar (Migsel brand GS light bar from Adventurer's Workshop)- Hella cornering lights - these lights cast a wide beam, perfect for seeing around corners or to run during the day for better visibility to other road users- Hella driving lights - these lights turn night into day and are like having two extra high beams- BMW switchgear - I wired both sets of lights to OEM BMW switchgear for a factory look- Bar end throttle lock - This works like a manual cruise control. No more hand cramps on long highway stretches, twist the throttle lock to set your speed and relax.- Lowered foot pegs - I'm 6' 2" and like a bit of extra legroom. I installed Fastway Evolution II foot pegs which are lower and offer more surface area. I installed BMW OEM rubber inserts for supreme comfort and traction. (NOTE: Original foot pegs included with the bike in case you would like to revert back to stock).- BMW Adventure wind wings - These clear plastic pieces mount to the sides of the windscreen to deflect air around the rider. I purchased these for cold weather riding and to date have not needed them. New in the box with all mounting hardware. - Security license plate mount with twin helmet locks - Modified rider's seat - Say goodbye to numb but! I added a gel pad and memory foam to the stock seat. It works too, I've loved many 800+ mile days and one 1000+ day in an Iron But event. Much more comfortable than stock seat.- Home made tail luggage - I built this from a Stanley toolbox I found at Target that matches the BMW Vario cases. It really looks like it should be a genuine BMW accessory. When I go motorcycle camping I take this instead of the tail bag to carry all my cooking supplies, I call this rear case "The Kitchen". Mounts using stainless steel hardware to the 4 mounting points BMW uses for their own rear case. Service & Care- Bike purchased new in 2006 at BMW Motorcycles Scottsdale- All scheduled & annual maintenance performed at BMW Motorcycles Scottsdale as well as additional oil changes and tire replacement as needed (always in pairs)- Dealer service records included with bike along with receipts and installation instructions for many of the major accessories like the light bar and foot pegs- All oil changes used BMW synthetic oil- Always run on Premium unleaded 91 octane- Bike is 100% functional. No service issues, no problems, needs nothing except a new rider. - Bike is in excellent condition with tiny rock chips on the beak and a scuff on the right cylinder head Major Features & Options- ABS brakes- 2 stage heated handgrips - Extends your riding season. You will wonder how you ever lived without them.- Hand protectors - these work so well you don't need to use the heated grips until the temps really drop. Help keep rain off your gloves while riding too.- On board computer - digital clock, twin trip meters, digital fuel & temp gauges, gear indicator, miles until empty, and more. - Power outlet under seat for heated riding gear, accessories, and battery tender- BMW tail rack (aka luggage rack)- Rider's seat is heigh adjustable - two positions for front and rear of rider's seat- Rear seat can be removed to reveal a loading platform perfect for camping gear or whatever you want to carry- BMW spoked wheels - These wheels reportedly soak up bumps better than the cast wheels yet still run tubeless tires due to their unique cross spoke design. I've been very impressed with these wheels and they were certainly worth the upgrade price- BMW chromed exhaust - This option was on the bike when I purchased it off the showroom floor and I'm surprised how well I like the look- Original BMW toolkit & owners manual included Want to ride it home?- Once all funds have cleared I will meet you at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport where you can take on the bike on an adventure around the Grand Canyon state before heading home.
