Vehicle Detail
Nice 1975 TRIUMPH TRIDENT T160 Electric Start and Kick Start. This one is barn fresh, pulled out of the garage after 12 years of sitting. The photo bucket photos have a few pictures with dust on the bike, that is just what it looked like 5 minutes after rolling out of the garage. I bought this one as a second bike in a package, I had to buy this one to get the Bonneville I really wanted. I collect Bonneville's and can't spare the room for this beautiful bike. 8120 original miles, I bought it from the second owner, it has been a Northwest bike since it was purchased new from Dewey's Cycles in Seattle. I spent a few minutes with it before purchasing, I wanted to confirm it had compression and turned over. We removed the plugs, put a couple of squirts of oil in each cylinder, put a battery on it that I brought with me and it turned over right away with good compression. It has been converted to Lucas Electronic Ignition but does not have spark, the tank has minor rust, when I got it home I pulled the tank and gave it a vinegar bath inside to flush any loose rust from the tank, I then added .5 gals of fresh non ethanol gas and 3 ozs of Marvel Mystery Oil and gave it a good coating just to protect what was cleaned up. Please consider this a barn fresh bike and take it out of it hibernation properly. The former owner had changed oil just before he put it to sleep and the oil looks great but I would recommend you change oil, properly clean and maybe treat the tank, pull the carbs and clean and of course add a new battery and fix the non spark issue. This bike has an aftermarket 3 into one exhaust that is rusted in places, other rust is on the left side of the bottom frame and left side cover, most likely due to a little leaking battery acid. Seat is beautiful, no tears or holes and it is original. Both wheels look pretty nice from a short distance but both have some rust through the chrome, front and rear fender have chrome that is starting to blister a little, I tried to show that in at least one of the photos. Headlight has some minor pitting. Motor needs a cleaning but looks great overall, no broken fins, leaks some oil from left side primary. Tires look pretty good but they haven't been on the road for 12 years they will need to be replaced. Plus the normal stuff, brake fluid replacement, general maintenance you would look after on any bike that is coming out of a long sleep. OK this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! It will sell, I am not offering it for sale locally, I hate guys that put a item up let it get close to closing and then pull the auction at the last minute. I don't do business like that. CHECK MY FEEDBACK. One bid could buy this rare and exciting bike. It is titled in my name, clear, no brands, no pass through title, no BS, you will get a clean recent Idaho title in my name and a full bill of sale. It is local pickup, that means I will do everything I can to facilitate a trouble free pick up by you or your transporter. I will not crate it. If you or your agent would like to inspect the bike I welcome a visit, please make your self comfortable before bidding, it is sold as is so please let me know if you need additional photos or information, I will do my best to answer any question. $500.00 due by PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the auction, balance by cashiers check, cash or wire transfer. Bike will not be released until cleared payment has been made. I will store it in my climate controlled garage for free for 21 days after the end of the auction. That is where it is now and has been since I brought it home. After 21 days storage will be $10 per day. I want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase and I will do everything I can to make it that way, I ask that you do the same, if you are not serious I ask that you not bid or play games, I don't play games and I expect to be treated the same. Two Youtube videos that show the bike turning over with what seems to be good compression and lights working, flasher unit does not work! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ipb82jDyhg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXX7kj9md8s Please watch them. Thank you for looking at my auction!
