What we have here is a 1992 Geo Metro XFI 2 door hatchback 3 cylinder 5 speed manual transmission. Great on gas!! She’s got only 114,600 miles on her and she runs on nice aluminum wheels with lots of tread on 175/70/13 tires. Motor runs great and transmission shifts smooth. Does not jump out of gear or grind the gears. She has a Sony AM FM CD with AUX input. Air Conditioning blows cold and the heater blows hot. This would be a great tow behind for an RV or Motorhome. Now she has been sitting for quite awhile (since 2004) and over the last month I have drained the fuel tank and cleaned it. Also I replaced the fuel pump with a New pump. I replaced the side mirror with a New assembly and replaced the inside door handle with a New one. I also did an oil and filter change and then I started her up. I did not want to run the old gas and oil through the motor until I gave her fresh fluids. The battery is NEW as of 23 Oct 2013 and I will give the new owner the receipt for the warranty from Advance Auto. New wiper blades. The only tears in the seat are the drivers left side bolster. The right front fender did have a dent and I hammered it out so it would not rub on the tire. She will need a new windshield but if you go to U Pull U pay you can get one for $27.99. The rear hatch does need new lifts. There is one center cap missing from right front tire and there is no spare but the jack and lug wrench is there. You can get a spare from U Pull U Pay for $20.99. The tires were replaced shortly before car was parked in 2004. The bezel around AC vents is cracked and the right front turn sigal lens is cracked, see pictures. The title is clean but the car has not been registered since 2004. This car will pay for its self in a matter of months due to the gas mileage that you will get, around 45-50 mpg. Some claims of over 50 MPG. The manual transmission versus the automatic transmission, the manual will get at least 10 mpg more, 5 speed vs 3 speed. The paint is typical for the 80’s and 90’s with the clear coat peeling and some fading. She looks good from a distance. This is a NO RESERVE Auction and it will end on Nov 2. It will sell to the highest Bidder. CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE I talked with El Paso County DMV and was told that late fees are only assessed to the new owner if they fail to register it after 90 days. Check with your local laws concerning this matter. This car is being sold AS IS with no implied warranties, except I will give the Buyer the receipt for battery. My county does not require an emission test but if yours does then the buyer is responsible for their emissions. I can not be held responsible for emissions outside of my county. Nor can I be held responsible for late fees, if any that are assessed, so check first with your local DMV. At the end of the auction, I will require a $400 deposit within 48 hours to secure the car paid via PayPal. After 48 hours I will offer a second chance to the next highest bidder. The balance will be paid prior to or at the time of picking up the car in the form of CASH or PayPal. I do not want a Cashier Check or Bank Check or even a personal check, just cash or PayPal. Shipping is the responsibility of the Buyer. The car must be picked up within 7 days from the end of the auction. I am not a car dealer or a storage yard, if you can’t get the car within 7 days let me know and we can work something out before I start charging storage fees which I will take out of the $400 deposit. This just needs a little attention but can be driven until things are taken care of. The mileage is 114601, at the time of pick up the mileage will be more due to it being moved around and test driven. Also the mileage report, it is because the odometer exceeds the mechanical limits. That's why the picture only shows 1460. I went out to see if there was a CD in the stereo and I could not get the stereo to come on. So the Sony is there but not working. It could be something simple or it just died. Rotors have no scaring and the pads are between 1/4 to 5/16 inch thick. I did not look at the rears. Passenger side underside looks to have some rust, the 4th picture. The rough stuff is the factory undercoating with Factory paint over the top.
