Vehicle Detail
1964 Pontiac GTO 427 F/X Nostalgia Street CarThis is a beautiful and completely solid 1964 GTO (clone) that was never raced. This is a frame-off restoration Lemans/GTO that was designed to have the race car F/X look but meant to be driven on the street with pump gas. Disc brakes added for safety and reliability stopping. The vehicle spent its life in North Carolina prior to being brought to Ohio in 1994, for restoration. The last owner had it for over 20 years and did a beautiful frame-off restoration which was designed to have the look of an era correct F/X style drag car, yet maintain full functionality of a street driven cruiser. The car runs on pump gas and can be daily driven as a reliable cruiser. It is not a race car, nor was it meant to be, but Its definently got some pep with that 427 / 4 speed combo that will throw you back in the seat! The paint is approximately 10 years old and shows beautifully. The bumpers and hood are fiberglass. The rest of the car is metal and is in excellent, rust free condition. The car has the original floorboards. The truck was patched and glassed in approximately 15 years ago. This car has a beautiful interior with a brand new headliner. All of the glass is in the car is excellent. The drivetrain has under 1500 miles on it. It's powered by a Big Block 427 Chevy punched .030 over. (Early 70s 454 block with 427 crank) -Steel Crank, Corvette Rods, TRW 9.5:1 Pistons, Oval Port Open Chamber Heads, Edelbrock Intake with matching Hydraulic Cam, Barry Grant Demon Carb, Needle Bearing Roller Rockers.Richmond 4 speed transmission with a center force 10.5 inch clutch and a 12 bolt Posi rear with 4:11 gears. Outstanding laser straight body that is rock solid. Detailed and clean engine bay, trunk and interior.Amazingly clean underneath!New gas tank a few months ago. The car drives, handles, stops, steers, and performs excellent! It's just a cool looking nostalgic style era correct car that will draw a crowd at every show. This car can be driven anywhere. All lights, blinkers, tach, speedo, etc.. work as they should. Extra parts including hi beam headlights are included if you decide to go back to original. (see photo of extras). The car has never been cut or hacked in any way. *If interested we also have a 1967 326 Pontiac engine which needs to be rebuilt available for the car as well.
