Vehicle Detail
This car has had a camshaft belt failure, and likely has some bad valves. I have a used head, that also has some bad valves. there may be enough valves between the two heads to make a good one, but cannot guarantee it since the head photographed is remaining on the engine. I loved this car and drove it for several years. As I was driving it, I began collecting extra parts in the event I needed more for keeping her running. So, I have an extra transmission, DME, suspension parts, pistons, hardware, short block, a second damaged head, and much much more. Too many parts to list. This is a no reserve auction. Car has a clear title. Body is in good shape, with a small dent on the right rear quarter. On Oct-19-13 at 16:32:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello everyone....It's evening, and I just got home... and it's too dark to take photos tonight. Photos will be posted tomorrow, around noon EST. My daughter is running in the Detroit Marathon, so I apologize for the cliff hanger on the photos. As soon as she finishes, we'll head home and take the photos that have been promised. Just to be clear, this is not a show car in need of some engine repairs. It is a sound car, in original paint, with no rust and a clean undercarriage. The engine bay is tidy, and the interior is clean, but with the aforementioned issues. In any event, if eBay's system allows me to post more photos, I will do everything in my power to have them visible to all bidders tomorrow at noon. When the engine was running, it ran strong, and burned about a quart every 2,500-3,000 miles. About typical for the 944S engine, or so I've been told. The A/C needs to be cleaned out. The compressor is good (I have a spare of that too!), and I'll throw in the new parts for the UG to new Freon. There's even a new belts. I'm 62, and don't enjoy crawling around cars as much as I used to. Between this head, and the other damaged head, I believe there enough parts to get this thing running again. So, if you've got the time and the skills, this could turn out to be a pretty cheep 944S in otherwise good shape. About the only extra thing you will need is a head gasket set. Did I mention that I have a spare exhaust system, and a second rear hatch cover? Watch for the photos.
