Up for auction at low reserve is our highly-desired, nearly all original 1965 (1964-1/2) Ford Mustang convertible. This first generation Mustang has been meticulously maintained over the years. No rust whatsoever. Car is stunning! Everything is mechanically sound and functions as it should. Pump the gas pedal twice to prime and car fires on first turn of the key. Idles and shifts through gears nice. The engine compartment, trunk area, wheel wells and undercarriage are rust-free, clean and unsoiled as seen in photos. Recent tune up, new drum brakes front and rear.Exterior: The exterior is in excellent "A" condition. The classy dark green (some call it British Racing Green) paint shines like new; a professional job completed this summer. And with highly-desired tan palomino interior it's quite sought after for 1965-66 Pony cars. Photos don’t do the car justice. The body lines are straight, no rust, no scratches or structural issues. There are a couple of small ripples near driver front fender but minor and hardly noticeable. The emblems, trim, glass, rubber and chrome are all in terrific shape though the windshield has a small chip at top center out of line of vision. The Firestone FR380 whitewall tires are new and the 14" wire spoke hubcaps with spinners are nice a produce a cool stance.. Wheels are 5-lug, NOT 4-lug. Interior: The standard tan palomino interior is beautiful. Everything but the carpet is brand new. Horn and radio need connection. The white convertible top is in good shape overall, shows a little age and locks nice and tight. Door locks and window cranks all work correctly. The back window is not cloudy, it's clear and in tact. Car also comes with white fitted convertible boot.
