Welcome to my Auction for a Classic 1985 Land Rover 110 11 Seater 5 Door Station Wagon. This is an Early production 110 having left the factory in 1985 in grey primer and standard trim It was a Special order by the first owner who had the Land Rover Dealer who were suppling the Land Rover 110 Paint it in Metalic Gunmetal Grey with a Silver Roof and wheel arches and then had all the Seats retrimed in Grey Leather with Black Piping and the very rare Headlamp Washers. This was an unheard of Spec back when this Land Rover 110 was new. It is fitted with the tried and tested Rover (BUICK) 215ci all alloy V8 with gas flowed clyinder heads and 4 Branch exhaust headers. Twin Electric fans have been fitted to the Radiator, so runs nice and cool. The 4 speed manual transmission works as it should with no bearing noises or whinning first motion shaft. The clutch works as it should. The front Disc Brakes and rear Drum brakes work fine, as does the parking brake. The Body work is very good with only minimal oxidization on a few panels. There is a small scrape on the left rear Quarter which is an easy repair as the panel is alloy and there is ample access from the rear seating and luggage area. The five door bottoms will need some repair but I would not replace the doors. These early doors have a much heaver door frame than the later tinnier ones and close with a nice heavy door clunk sound.There is a door bottom repair kit available at $22.50 per door plus shipping. The front Bulkhead is solid with a very small amount of blistering on the paint work below the windsheild corners. Front and rear floors are good .The Chassis for the most part is very good but will need the front out riggers repairing or replacing, again available for around $80 each plus shipping and a plate welding the the front rail by the front bumper mount. The rear cross member is good, with a little rust flacking around the right side chassis rail . Nothing a wire brust and a little underseal wont cure. The wheels and Tyres have been taken from a much later Land Rover Defender but the rims would benefit from a new set of tyres (235/85/16) I have the original rims that have 3 new tires and will require two more to make up a perfect set of five. I will swop these out for the Alloys if the Buyer prefers them.There are four Land Rover side steps fitted along with a custom made rear step that can be removed to fit the adjustable Tow Bar bracket. The front leather seats will need repairs or retriming the rest of the leather seat are good but not perfect and could do with a good clean. This is not a perfect Land Rover 110 But it is a daily driver as is or worth a small fortune ($50,000plus) restored. It drives very well and gets the Land Rover Acknowledgement Hand wave wherever you go ! Last but not least, this 110 has a nice pair of custom made storage boxes that fit under the middle row seats. Front and middle row seats have seat belts fitted. The G4 spare wheel cover Does not come with the 110. This Land Rover was relist due to the last winner, chiefsamsair, should have called himself chiefsam beware !
