Lately there has been a magnificent collection of Honda Turbos for sale on Ebay. Where did they all come from? For such a rare bike, it is unusual to see five, as was the case this week, offered at the time especially considering it’s the end of the biking season in many parts of the country. Well I’m adding mine to the flock. After two heart surgeries and two knee replacements, I am accepting that my riding days may be over. I have not been able to ride for a number of years. My once proud bikes have sat like forgotten children. Cosmetically this bike is in beautiful condition overall. There is a small crack on a side panel. There is a scrape the size of dime on the side. The seat has two small crack lines. There is some paint scraped off the lower portion of the tank hidden by the seat- one picture shows this but is not otherwise seen unless the seat cushion is pushed back. Those seem to be the only cosmetic blemishes. The bike has 5540 miles on it. I put about 4500 of those miles on and drove like a little old lady. No hot-rodding or redlining on this bike. Alas and alack, it sat not ridden and the damage of that nonuse done. There is a coolant leak and the injectors are clogged. The bike does not run. It will need new seals and the injectors will need to be either replaced or cleaned. There may be other problems but when it was last ridden there were no running issues. It just sat for too long. With current prices being as they are, this might be a good bike to fix and flip or better yet, fix and ride. If you don’t have the $2,500-$10,000 to spend on a running one, this is a good option. It really was a fantastic bike. Obviously the pictures will give show the bike’s beauty. I will truly miss this bike. At the age of 71, I will have to settle for being grateful for all the years of riding pleasure.
