Vehicle Detail
This is a very clean Southern 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. There were only 6,449 Grand Wagoneers produced in the 1990 model year, which was the next to last year of production. The 1989-1991 model years are considered by some to be the best, due to improvements that Chrysler made after buying AMC/JEEP in 1987. I purchased the Jeep in the spring 2013 and had it shipped from Georgia to New Jersey. I have put a lot of money into it and was planning to enjoy it for a long time, but due to some financial and time issues, I need to sell it. It has been a lot of fun driving it this summer and getting stopped all the time by folks who ask questions about it. Here are the details: 112,600 milesGeorgia vehicle, I purchased it in spring 2013, it has always been in the south and never seen a northern winterNo rust (was undercoated at the dealer, Jasper Jeep, in Jasper Georgia, when purchased - I have the receipt)Sand Metallic Exterior with Sand interior360 2V V8, 3 speed automatic transmission4WD (works)Air conditioning (blows ice cold)Power windows (all work, including rear window using key or dash switch)Power locks (work)Dual power seats (work)Power mirrors (work)Power steering and brakesDigital Clock (works)Tilt wheelOriginal thick carpet (you can't get this anymore, all the replacement carpet is not nearly as plush)Original floor mats (drivers side shows a lot of wear)Factory fog lights with black "Jeep" covers (very hard to find these now)Cargo cover - not in great shape but worksHeadliner in excellent condition - no rips, no sagging, very clean (it was replaced in 2006)Haynes service manualOriginal owner's manual3 sets of keysJeep key chainClean NJ title, No liens Below is the work that has been done in the last few months:New valve cover gasketsNew intake manifold gasketsNew transfer case sealNew right rear axle shaft bearing sealNew PCV hosesNew power steering gear boxNew power steering pump and hosesNew catalytic convertor (passed tough NJ emissions test - good through 2015, then it is 25 years old and no more emissions tests)New air conditioning compressorNew Pioneer AM/FM HD radio CD player (original radio had already been removed)All four wheels professionally refinishedAll new seat belts professionally installed by a top interior shop in Northern NJ, including rear shoulder belts purchased from Wagoneer World (I did this so could have a child seat in the back). This was an option in 1990 but few purchased them! It is must-have if you want to put child or booster seats in the back.New interior kick panelsNew fog lamp switchNew fog lamp lenses (correct factory ROL lenses)New fog lamp bulbsNew headlamp switchNew right passenger door power lock actuatorNew taillight lenses and bulbsNew radiator capOil and filter changeNew air filterNew thermostatTune-upNew wire set, rotor, distributor capNew wiper bladesNew window wipesNew heater hoseNew hood insulation pad Based on service records, the following work was done in 2006 (when it had 110K miles):New engine New radiatorNew brakes New fan shroudNew headliner I have many additional photos which you can view on my Photobucket album: http://s838.photobucket.com/user/tbogle1/library The last owner in Georgia purchased the Wagoneer in 2006 and only drove it about 2,000 miles, as he owns several collector cars. It starts up and runs nicely. The cruise control, rear wiper, and compass/temperature gauge in the overhead console do not work (the lights in the overhead console work fine). All other interior lights work fine. I had the valve cover gaskets and intake manifold gaskets replaced due to oil leaks, my mechanic says the top of the engine is dry, it is just leaking a little bit of oil from the rear main seal, so that will need to be fixed at some point. This is a common problem on Grand Wagoneers. I will include all the service records that I have. The paint is generally in good shape and still shines, but there are scratches and nicks and chips, as well as a couple of small dents that could be fixed by a "Dent Wizard" paintless dent removal place. The wood trim and vinyl tape is original, and in decent condition, but does have some scratches and scrapes if you look closely. I have seen some Grand Wagoneers on eBay with new wood paneling, but the colors look too yellow or red in my opinion. Looks closely at these and you'll see what I mean. The original looks the best. The bumpers are ok, they have scratches. The bumper rubber is all there, but has scratches and cuts in it. The interior is in very good condition, and very clean, with no missing pieces. The dash is excellent, the seats are in good shape, a few small scratches and cuts which you can see in the Photobucket pictures. All the gauges work, even the digital clock works! A huge advantage of a Southern Grand Wagoneer is that it doesn't have the rust issues that many Northern ones do. Once rust starts eating through the fenders or bubbling up under the paint around the windows it's a huge, expensive and time consuming problem to fix. I have the Wagoneer insured as a classic car, since I only drive it occasionally, and even in New Jersey, which has some of the nation's highest insurance rates, it only costs about $300 a year to insure. Vehicle is sold as is, where is, without warranty. Pick up or shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I will work with you or your shipper to the best of my ability. I can hold the Wagoneer for a couple of weeks after payment, while shipping is arranged, if necessary. If there is anything else you would like a picture of that is not in the Photobucket pictures, please email me through eBay. The Wagoneer is located in northern New Jersey, about 1 hour from New York City. Any questions, please email me through eBay and I will be happy to answer. $500 non-refundable deposit due via PayPal within 24 hours of auction ending, remaining due via Bank Cashiers/Certified check, or wire transfer, within 7 days. Thank you for looking.
