PLEASE SEND TRADE INFORMATION/OFFERS TROUGH EBAY***Up for auction is a VERY RARE Rally Red 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L89 T-TOP with 49K Actual Miles and the #'s Matching 427/435 ALUMINUM HEAD (842's) Tri Power engine and M-21 Transmission. L89 options are VERY scarce as this is 1 of 624 L89's produced in 68'. This car is sold with an actual mileage title AND the original tank sticker (partially missing) showing the L89 option at the top of the sticker. Also included is the original gas tank where you can see where the remaining sticker rested for years. That tank is definitely usable as its whistle clean inside, just needs some restoration work. I am selling this rare vette for a friend of mine who lives in Sarasota, FL. IT IS A COMPLETE ROLLING CHASSIS.***** Obviously this car is a total restoration project. It originally came out of the Western, PA/ Eastern, OH region (sold with a Ohio title). The body is mostly complete with some parts just set it place for photos (hood, wiper cowl, etc..) The doors open and close nice and they DO have door glass in them. The body will obviously need quite a bit of restoration work, as will the frame (probably best to replace it because of rot). The engine was recently rebuilt it is together but the heads, intake, oil pan, etc.. are loosely attached for mock up purposes. The engine is a standard bore 427/435hp with correct crank, rods, pistons, cam. The transmission is the original with the VIN number stamped in the case that matches the car (see pictures). It is a M-21 Muncie with the original shifter still in tact. I tried to do my best to capture all casting numbers for the major components so you know exactly what you are getting. The owner was told all the rally wheels are original to the car. The interior is pretty much complete with nice seats (some piping pulling out) but they appear to be original. Please see pictures with the parts, there are some misc. interior pieces in the photos that are included. As I mentioned, this is a total restoration project on a mostly complete car. It is a VERY expensive car restored. As I mentioned, this is ONE of 624 produced in 68'. Very special car that deserves a quality restoration. L89 options are VERY scarce as this is 1 of 624 L89's produced in 68'. This car is sold with an actual mileage title AND the original tank sticker (partially missing) showing the L89 option at the top of the sticker. Obviously this car is a total restoration project. It originally came out of the Western, PA/ Eastern, OH region (sold with a Ohio title). The body is mostly complete with some parts just set it place for photos (hood, wiper cowl, etc..) The doors open and close nice and they DO have door glass in them. The body will obviously need quite a bit of restoration work, as will the frame (probably best to replace it because of rot).

The engine was recently rebuilt it is together but the heads, intake, oil pan, etc.. are loosely attached for mock up purposes. The engine is a standard bore 427/435hp with correct crank, rods, pistons, cam.

The transmission is the original with the VIN number stamped in the case that matches the car (see pictures). It is a M-21 Muncie with the original shifter still in tact. I tried to do my best to capture all casting numbers for the major components so you know exactly what you are getting. The owner was told all the rally wheels are original to the car.

The interior is pretty much complete with nice seats (some piping pulling out) but they appear to be original. Please see pictures with the parts, there are some misc. interior pieces in the photos that are included.

As I mentioned, this is a total restoration project on a mostly complete car. It is a VERY expensive car restored. As I mentioned, this is ONE of 624 produced in 68'.
