BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED MUSCLE CAR! 15K INVESTED IN ENGINE!!! NEW INTERIOR DOG DISH MAG WHEELS/BREATH TAKING PAINT! As you survey the muscle car landscape this fall you may find several cars that peak your interest. However, when considering the best to choose from one would have to carefully way the upside of selecting this AWESOME 1969 Chevy Camaro!!! There’s entirely too much to say about this little Bowtie but, I will try to keep it short. Sit back check out the pictures & enjoy the laundry list of goodies that have been packed inside this quality investment! Chevrolet reached its zenith in 1969! The pony cars released that year where the best to leave the assembly line yet in regards to performance & styling! This particular 69 Custom is an ABSOLUTE must see / must drive to appreciate vintage vehicle! - I actually purchased this car from a gentleman who was an avid Camaro enthusiast. He was extremely picky about just what cars made it into his fold! He had judged several car shows previously & sponsored a couple events. Two of his Camaros actually made it to the national circuit for display & three of his Camaros were sold to celebrities between 2009-2012. Although he only had this car in his possession about 2 years he truly cherished it. He was not the original owner….he was the third. He did know the second owner personally. That gentleman owned the car for approximately 19 years. His occupation required extensive travel so the car was garaged quite a bit. From what I gathered the third owner had been trying to wrestle the car away from him for years {I have no info or idea who the original owner was}. HOW I CAME ACROSS THIS RADICAL RIDE: One day I received a call from a friend who was talking muscle cars with a town local. This particular friend of mine had actually went to Kansas for a car show & muscle car shoot out. He said about an hour into their conversation the local guy began to expound on how a certain car enthusiast in town drove what he considered to be the best Camaros around! My friend said that as the story went on the guy that he was talking to mentioned that this Camaro enthusiast was thinking of thinning the herd {selling a few of his toys}. My friend in turn got his information & passed it on to me “the rest is history”. I contacted the owner the next day to get the skinny on his collection {boy am I glad that I did}! Upon finding his place I quickly learned that his collection easily lived up to the Hype!!! I did however take an immediate liking to this 1969 Camaro. As previously stated the owner was Camaro crazy & this one was one of his personal favorites! He told me about the day that he began to restore this car. He said the original paint was somewhat faded and the car was crying to be sprayed when he found it. He proceeded to give the car exactly what it was in need of “a top notch restoration”! With just one look at this Chevy you will appreciate the quality of the paint that has been laid! While I can’t verify exactly how much money & time was invested on the work that has been completed I was told that it is well over $9k! The base coat clear method & was used to cover the car {the finished product is amazing}! The paint absolutely beams in the sun & simply glistens at night! I can testify with 100 percent certainty that you won’t make it a city block without having someone either blow their horn at you or wave at you! WARNING!!!! If you are the bashful type or if you’re the type of person who can’t stand attention LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! THIS IS NOT THE CAMARO FOR YOU! Even as I took the car out to shoot pictures for this ad two different sets of people driving along side of me were taking pictures of the car with their cell phones. At the grocery store, park or library …..expect to hear “I love your car” or “That’s sweeeet”!!! There’s never a dull moment! Anyways…. Inspecting this Camaro closely you will find that somewhere in the restoration process the car had new full quarters & inner wheel house panels installed. I don’t care how many times you peel the car cover back in your garage…. unveiling this Camaro never gets old! The exterior finish is smooth & free from the common eye sores associated with armature body work. Gorgeous Car Lots of fun!!! Attention to details: When this Camaro was being put back together and time had come to install the original emblems new ones were installed instead. New Camaro script can be found on the trunk, fenders, etc. The bumpers and all other bright work stands tall also! One of my personal favorite items on this Chevy is the grille. Although I have no documentation of it I was told that a week was spent prepping, sanding, glazing & painting it alone! The grille is extremely shiny & gloss black! You can see your reflection in it….almost looks like black ice or black glass {neat}! Although at first I have to admit I thought the previous owner was crazy for not installing the quarter chrome trim bezels on the car. I began to see his point of view upon further discussion. The ever present quarter trim is absent from the car but it gives the car a cleaner look {the quarter ornaments are new and will be in the car if you decide to have them installed}.I think that the car looks better without them. The door glass is all free from damage & in pristine shape. The nostalgic black hockey stripes look amazing on this car & present a stark contrast along the Frost Green body of this Camaro….looks like a match made in heaven! Just to wrap things up on the exterior: This Camaro looks incredible from bumper to bumper! While I won’t call out what point show car it is I can say with certainty “the next owner will absolutely LOVE it”! Peeking inside: Some good stories tend to get boring about half way through. That won’t be the case with this tale. This beautiful Bowtie has a mint Raven Black interior! The subtle black interior is striking …a true throwback! Simple, subtle …..stunning! Ground Floor: To start during the restoration of the car the carpet was completely removed and replaced front to rear. There was a high quality replacement carpet kit installed and it still looks as good today as when she left the factory. No expense sparred the trunk is even carpet covered with sound deadener & a protective liner! After the carpet was addressed a brand new set of seat covers were installed as well. The seat covers are extremely nice {Elco Chevrolet approved} possibly the best reproduction covers on the market. The seat cushions were replaced before the covers were installed also. This Camaro is comfortable & ready for long road trips “Route 66”!!! Continuing the interior theme …..You will find a flawless headliner set above with pristine sun visors. The entire interior flows together nicely. All of the gauges are crystal clear & dash pad looks great {showing minimum wear for its age}. Once again this restoration was done with the small details in mind as well. There has been new door weather stripping installed & brand new window glass weather stripping installed also! The rear interior deck and quarter trim panels also look very nice. All four window crank handles are practically new & inside door handles perform as they should. You can’t end this segment without talking about what’s most ominous inside…..the four speed Hurst Shifter!!! The shifter itself, ball & plate look fantastic! They give hint as to what they are matted to…which brings us to our last category. SMALL BLOCK SLEEPER!!! The Chevy Camaro and performance go together like peanut butter & jelly / like Laurel & Hardy. All jokes aside this 69 Camaro will easily change the mind of anyone who wants to disagree! To start there has been over $15k invested in this muscle cars power plant alone!!! For all of you who are not gear heads I will break down some of the internals in layman’s terms. This 350 four bolt main block has been built to the hill! This 350 has been morphed into a 383 stroker motor “not for the faint of heart”! SHE’S EASILY PUSHING 500 H.P. AT THE FLY WHEEL! Let’s listen: /font> The block was decked, squared & magnafluxed for cracks! She was set up for top notch performance from the giddy up! The block was also balanced on a rotating assembly that included “3.750”!!! She’s breathing at 10.5 to 1 compression but thanks to the boost she rumbles deeper than a Hemi! It gets better! If you were to break this monster down and get a better idea of what lies inside you would find forged pistons, file fit rings & 6” high connecting rods!!! There was no expense spared on this motor!!! The process to build it took about 8 weeks. There are more goodies than one could possibly think hidden inside. You will find harden rod bearings & a new flat tappet cam with .540 valve lift woven together as well. On & on it goes,,,, New timing set, race style balancer, new high volume oil pump, new brass expansion plugs & Arp head bolts / studs play their part to add to the assault on Ford & Dodge products! I guard my words carefully but feel confident in saying that this Chevy Camaro is up to almost any challenge!!! Before the rebuild and design was completed on this engine “A SET OF CNC ALUMINUM PATRIOT HEADS WERE INSTALLED” {with 195CC/ 64CC/ and 5 angle valve job} !!! I don’t know what more you can ask for in a classic Camaro but to put it lightly this ones no street slouch! Although the car has been pampered she has made it to the track twice. She was matted in one pass against a 1968 Camaro SS built 396 which it blew the doors off of & the other time she was placed in the Octagon with a Mustang Mach 1 / 428 car that put up at better fight but still ended up seeing this bullet proof Camaros tail lights! This is also thanks in part to the rest of the items packed under the hood of this jewel! A Pro Comp high Rise Intake Manifold joined in union with a Holley 850 Double Pumper! The spark is more than apt to keep this Camaro in tune because of the MSD Billet Pro distributor & MSD Blaster Street Fire Multi Spark ignition! More, more, more! You don’t have to worry about this one getting a little to hot under the collar either. There’s a new high quality Aluminum radiator installed with a new electric fan that actually kicks on at 160*F! She’s reliable also! There’s new MSD wires, Accel spark plugs & and electric fuel pump installed so you can fun with confidence of continuing your journey! I can’t begin to explain just how fun this vintage muscle car is to drive but I will say this “if you are the new owner you’ll be happy that you won this auction”! This ones not just another pretty face in the crowd either. She’s under control thanks to many new suspension parts & rear air ride! The comfort and ride quality is truly second to none involving this Camaro. There’s a new steering column that’s been installed & a new steering box! No not done yet: New master cylinder & new brake booster as well. With all of that power stopping is still a cinch thanks to new pads & rotors in front! The back was not overlooked either it has new shoes & hardware “she stops on a dime”! I can not begin to tell you just how many guys marvel at the dog dish wheels on this muscle car! They certainly give the Camaro a flavor of its own. You will find a spank brand new raised white letter Futura performance rubber at all four corners on this vintage vehicle as well! If you’re in to tunes try out the new CD radio with remote & Kicker Competition 10 inch subs with Pro amp! This set up is neatly placed inside the trunk area “carpet laid down inside” looks awesome!!! You would never know where the awesome tunes are coming from by looking inside because the radio head unit is tucked away in the glove box {nice}! By the way this muscle care has a chambered exhaust system that sounds awesome! Thanks in part to hedders and performance mufflers. As previously stated…..too much to list & say about this one. If you have been waiting on a quality muscle car investment this could possibly be the one for you. There’s an old saying that “You get what you pay for”. Well whoever ends up with this Camaro will be getting more. While I won’t give this car away because of the caliber vehicle that it is “I am yet willing to let make someone’s dream come true REASONABLY! You couldn’t build this car for what the reserve is or what I am willing to sale it for. I have seen what is out there & I can assure you that my reserve and ideal price is more than fair. Now the bad news. Most of my auctions end early and I usually catch a lot of flack from people who were hoping to win my item. The items that I list are officially for sell once the auction starts. I don’t have time to play games. The serious buyer is encouraged to call me at 314-649-8227. I will work with you to get it done. Don’t miss this one…! You’ll be sorry! THIS CAR IS LOCATED IN ST. LOUIS MO. If you have zero feedback or two or more negative feedback you must contact me before bidding or your bid may be canceled. Car cover, books, manual included with this sale.
