** California buyers read - smog issue ** 1997 Ford Explorer - Runs, Great engine, Great trans, has minor issues - Calabasas, CA Note: Probably not best for California buyer...will not pass smog test. Will pass with 2 computer code issues. This truck has 3. One smog issue is the trans or transfer case was replaced without a speed sensor. If you have a friend or the inside trac on a good smog place, that may help. Have sold twice on Ebay and both Buyers did not show up to pick up...SERIOUS ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 175k miles as of late last year (no speed sensor so the odometer is not working) I have old pink slip and registration was paid is in my name through 5/2013, but a new pink slip has not been issued because did not pass smog. I will provide pink, registration paperwork & bill of sale. Runs slightly rough & sluggish due to the computer codes not set properly - oxygen / gas ratio or oxygen sensor not set properly, but I drive it every day to and from work. Great body...only one small quarter size dent...maybe 2 small scratches, front plastic grill broken / cracked (see photo), good tires Great tinted windows. All electric windows work, great interior. Has custom stereo and stereo additions (see photo), but not connected right now or needs a code
