                                1968 Corvette                                                                               Corvette Details:         Up for auction is my 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible  this beauty has 66,531 miles and  looks fantastic. This vette still retains it's numbers matching  327 cubic inch V8 with 300 horsepower. The transmission is a 400  hydromatic and shifts perfect. Options on this car are pretty  substantial. It has power steering, power disc brakes, power  windows, air conditioning, telescopic steering wheel, and speed warning  monitor that still works (very cool). All exterior, interior and  fiber optic lights work well. The Speedo, Tach, Oil pressure,  Temperature, and Fuel gage all work. The horn works with a   push of a finger and the ignition buzzer also work. However the  amp gage, clock, windshield wipers and blower motor do not work.   The tires are Michelins with decent tread left and the disc brakes have  all new front and rear calipers and pads (stops perfect). The  suspension has had some new parts and drives very tight. All four  shocks have also been replaced. The alignment on the car is also  spot on. The exhaust is new from the manifolds to the tips.   The car has had numerous other parts installed over the years too.   Numerous to mention. I have a huge stack of receipts. The  block numbers do match the VIN # and the tank sheet is still on the  tank. I have taken a picture of this. It  can be seen through the fuel filler area under rubber around the gas  cap. The interior of this beautiful Vette is code #402  (black) and is in very nice shape. However the carpet is a bit  faded from the top being down. The drivers seat does have a very  small tear in the seat bottom, and a small wear spot on the boulster  from getting in and out, but is still in very nice condition. The  manual convertible top is black and in good condition with a clear back  window, and the top goes up and down with ease. It can easily be  done by one person. The body and paint are what would be  considered good driver quality they show very nicely. The exterior  color is #984 (Safari Yellow). This car was painted years ago in  red by someone, but has been repainted it's original color. The  frame and windshield posts are very solid too. The rear axel is  positraction but I'm not sure what the ratio is. The engine is  pretty much original. The Rochester Carb, Intake and Heads are all  original. I have taken some pictures of the inside of the heads  for those of you who may want want to see some numbers. The heads  were very clean when replacing the valve cover gaskets.         To sum it up, this is a very  good running and driving Corvette. That will make it's new owner  very happy. Just think of all the heads that will turn when you  how up at your local cruise in with the top down on this beautiful  Corvette or just taking a Sunday drive on a warm summer day with the  wind blowing through your hair.
