Vehicle Detail
1968 Mustang Rat Rod For sale by Scotlea Hot Rods with NO RESERVE. This is a daily driver that's very reliable. Not a V8, but geared so it will move pretty quickly - just no rumbling exhaust note. Overall a very good driver car with a little hot-rod look. Exterior - paint is a 20 footer - no idea when it was painted, but there are a few chips and small dings. Car has never been wrecked that we can tell. Bumpers are straight, all the trim is there, windows are good (no cracks). Hood and decklid stripes were painted on last week - hot rod flat black with a charcoal pinstripe. Frontend was lowered 3 inches for a good raked stance. Interior - pretty much original. Drivers seat has a couple of 1 inch long tears in the seat bottom, otherwise seats are great. Doorpanels are intact and look good. Dash is very nice - all gauges work (speedo is a bit slow). Odometer shows 187 miles so it's obviously rolled over. Someone installed an aftermarket stereo, and it doesn't work - probably not wired in right, but I never listen to radio so wasn't concerned about it. Headliner is good, sunvisors good. Carpet is worn next to driver's left foot - otherwise clean and good. Rear quarterwindows don't roll down, but new rollers are included so you can fix. Engine / trans / rearend. - Has straight 6 engine that was restored last week - torn down, everything checked, new gaskets, hoses, etc. Holley single barrel carb. New radiator last week. Starts and runs great, very smooth idle. 3-speed manual trans shifts fine, no noise. Rearend does not leak and no noise. Brakes are manual discs but stop the car just fine. Has had new floorpans installed, trunk was cleaned and sprayed with undercoating, body is really straight and very solid - not a rustbucket!!! Is for sale locally as well. Please contact Patrick at Scotlea Hot Rods with any questions prior to bidding - 918-231-3605 or email patrick@scotlea.com or Contact Seller. Sale is final. Winning bidder to pay a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours or make other arrangements with us immediately after sale. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction end or car will be relisted. Payment via cash, bank transfer, or cashiers check is acceptable. Clear title. Car can be driven away - very road worthy and reliable. Shipping is up to you, we can help load. Thanks for looking !!!!
