Vehicle Detail
Just pulled out of the garage. This car has been owned by my family since the mid 1980's The car has the original engine and transmission. Power Windows work perfect. And the headlights go up and down without any problems. This car has Been stored in a garage since 1986. My dad drove the car once in a while up until 1993 when the car needed a whole complete brake job. I am assuming that it will need all new hardware calipers rotors pads and hoses all the way around. The frame is in great condition. There is no Rust at all on the frame. The Deluxe dark brown interior is in really good condition. The seats and door panels are almost perfect. The dash is flawless and complete all gauges work as they should except for the clock. The radio worked last time car was on the road but now will not turn on. This corvette starts right up. (Needs a battery). Car idles a bit high at first then drops down to the normal range. have not been able to test drive the car it has no brakes. Has good oil pressure and the temp stays in the normal range does not overheat. The exhaust is loud Needs work. Front and rear urethane bumper covers dry rotted and need to be replaced. I removed the rear bumper cover I was going to replace it but I just do not have the time or money to finish this car. I have three children and other things are taking priority. My wife sadly said no way its has to go. The car was stored at my sisters house and she recently sold her home And I have nowhere else to store it or I would just let it get older and get to it someday. I have no idea what else may need to be done to make the car road worthy I am no mechanic and would not be able to do the work myself. All of the original air conditioning parts are still there and hooked up. There is no damage to any of the fiberglass anywhere. like I said just needs the bumper covers. From what I have been reading seems like a common problem with this generation of Corvettes. Well there you have it, If you have any questions feel free to ask. I am going to set a low reserve price. I am not going to give the car away, I will accept reasonable offers worst I can say is no. I have the Clear title in hand. My father transferred the title to me so I an handle the sale of the car. This is one of the rare paint code 56 bright yellow cars of which only 3389 were made. Also even rarer is has the Deluxe leather interior I'm not sure on how many of that paint color and interior were made. It was painted classic white back in 198? by the original owner. On Jul-26-13 at 21:01:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Threw a battery in the car today and it starts up fine I also straightened out the old wiring behind the radio replaced fuses It has infinity speakers installed in the factory dash location
