What we have here is a decent example of a 27 year old motorcycle. I bought it to totally restore, but just don't have the time or space. The bike actually looks better in the pics than in real life. It is not bad, but has the normal chips, dings and faded paint of your typical Honda. The bike runs well, and someone told me the slip-ons are Vance and Hines, but i don't really know. The lights all work, the turn signals work, although the LF is loose, and could use a new mount What does it need? Here is the list: Rear brake shoes, horn...either wire or horn itself, choke cable, although you can pull the existing cable near the carbs, and the choke works that way, a rear tire, the clutch needs either adjusted or replaced...it slips a bit under hard accelleration, and a good clean-up. That's about it. I just put in a new battery yesterday, and took it for a ride...what a blast! The 'ol critter is super fun to ride and is very comfortable. Not sure why, but the battery was dead when I got home. I'll check the connections, but there could possibly be a charging problem. So there ya have it. A really neat Nighthawk 700S. that needs a little TLC. With the right owner, this will be a GREAT example of one of the best middle 80's sport bikes. I've made it sound a LOT worse than it really is, but I don't want anyone expecting a museum piece. The bike IS NOT for sale locally, and the auction is going to run its course, unless the "Buy it Now" is used. The buy it now is 2000.00.
