Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is my 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible. NO RESERVE.Clean and Clear Title. This is a great chance to bid on a part of Automobile history. This is a rusty project to be sure, but this car has never been cut up and restored. It rolls around nicely and you can steer it still. It is very original with almost all the original parts including the 289 engine. The only none original car I can see is the drivers door. ( I believe that door came off a 1965 Convertible accord in the tag on the door). The floors and frames are rusted out along with the bottoms of the doors and fenders. basically the bottom part of the car is rusty and the top is ok. The Convertible top frame is all there but needs some oil on the hinges. The fabric top is toast. The seats will need to be recovered but the interior is all there, including the rare full length center console. The apron VINs are still intact so you could say that this is a matching numbers car. These all original project cars are getting harder and harder to find. This car might still have the original paint. This is a 1966 std Convertible 76A 289 V-8 C-code Automatic- 6 code blue/blue interior -22 code Ext color Nightmist Blue - K-paint codePower convertible top.no p/s nor p/b nor air As you can see from the pictures that this is a rusty car and will need a lot of new sheet metal and ton of work to be done to make it a $25,000 - $30,000 show car. but that is the fun of finding and totally restoring a rare find. The Engine is all there, but I do not know what condition it's in or if it will turn over. I would assume it will need a complete rebuild, the same with the C-4 transmission. The drive shaft is on the car but disconnected from the rear end, The 81,000 is most likely correct, but you never know. The previous owner had the car for over 15 year, and didn't drive it or do anything with it but let it sit there. I was going to restore it but I am going to restore and modify a hard top instead, so since I do not need this car I am selling the complete car at NO RESERVE.The last bidder will own the car. Please let me know if you have any questions before the end of the auctions because what ever that final bid is, that is what I need for the car and the is no other negotiations after/ I do have an front fender, a door and rear valance that I have pictured ( along with a few other odd and ends bits that I have collected ) that I will sell to the final bidder for an addition $200 if you want them. The car is sold AS-IS.The buyer has to pay for transportation. The car will need to be pushed or pulled onto a flatbed. I would not recommend carrying a rusty convertible on a dolly.I described the car as best as I could. I please look at the pictures for other information I may have missed in writing. I can take and email you any other pictures that you may need. Just let me know. Thanks for looking and bidding
