Vehicle Detail
Well some folks say it's too big and uses too much gas...... You all know the tune and if you loved her for her Pink Cadillac it may be easier just to have your own and then go get the girl you really want. So here is your chance ebayers! I am very pleased to offer the rare and elusive "Pink Cadillac" to you all. I am Carol and am listing it for the owner, George, who is my business associate with the help of my brother Greg, who is very knowledgeable in antique cars and though this is not his specialty among them, he has helped me with the generalities. Greg has explained to me that there might be a million levels of "condition" from fencerow find to Smithsonian material and while every collector has his own opinion of what it is, I will try to do my best. Ask questions, look at the photos, expect imperfections on this one of a kind example. You may need to interpret to meet your expertise and feel free to correct me. George says this body style is commonly referred to as the "limited production low rider flat top". Greg sees it as a six window hard top and knows no more so you tell me. George calls the original color which has possibly been re-painted years ago as "Desert Rose" or "Desert Laurel". It appears certainly "pink" with a "peachish" hue that can appear "pearlish" and is very attractive. It is not that loud "hot pink". The finish condition overall is good but there are some touch up places the photos will note. He feels it is the first year for electric windows. Greg is calling the condition to be "very original and unrestored overall" though much restoration or simply upkeep work has been done such as the professionally restored seats, truck carpet, etc. He found no significant rust or body putty anywhere. The bumpers are ok but as chrome does when it ages, luster is lost and to be very bright again they must be re-done. It was running and being driven three years ago and parked since. The glass is without any damage and the whitewall tires appear good as well. The dash is cracked, there are some cracks in the rubber and the trunk seals need to be replaced. Please note I am new to ebay and hope you will not hold that against me. This because I have been far too busy working and raising two young boys alone who's father had a stroke. I am a Missouri farmer's daughter who was taught honesty and I will not do you wrong and will work to make sure you are happy. If you wish to see this car it is very accessable in Joplin, Missouri. Please contact me with any questions and best of luck to you all on this rare and beautiful car!On Jul-14-13 at 22:48:13 PDT, seller added the following information: An error in body description has been brought to my attention. This is not a six window but rather a four window sedan of Model 6239 of which 14,138 were made. The small windows in the rear are counted but not those in the front. Also the engine is the 390 cubic inch. One individual spoke of power windows on a year ealier model as well. On Jul-16-13 at 05:51:07 PDT, seller added the following information: The owner insists this engine is the 500 cubic inch. The 390 was original to the make and model in this year so it had to have been changed out at some point for this engine. I understand the 500 Cadiallac engine came out in 1970 for their Eldorado. Sorry for the mix up.
