Contact Chris at 312-878-8711, chris@motoworkschicago.com, or through ebay for any questions. We have a lot of time, effort and money into listing this motorcycle on ebay. Please be respectful of that and be certain that you intend to follow through with the sale. Your bid is a contract to buy. We have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at our location without it being crated, please e-mail Chris at chris@motoworkschicago.com. Provide him with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at our location in Chicago, and he will gladly add you to the list that allows you to bid. This is truly a time capsule. It is such a nicely preserved original that it could easily hold its own in a museum collection. It has a few VERY minor flaws, but it looks practically new overall. And it runs and rides like new, too! The gear-driven cams are just as cool as the sound they make. The power from the V-Four is smooth and plentiful. And the chassis and brakes make any ride feel like a dream. There are 75 pictures below detailing the condition of the bike. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 312-878-8711, e-mail him at chris@motoworkschicago.com, or contact us through ebay. The bike is located at Motoworks in the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 312-878-8711 to set up an appointment. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. Our recommendation for a great shipper is Danny at D&K Services. He can be reached at 973-534-7823.Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. We can deliver within 100 miles of Chicago for a fee. $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within seven days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact us first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that. We are a dealer, so we must charge sales tax and process the title and plate if you are an Illinois buyer. If you are a buyer from one of the states that reciprocates with Illinois on sales tax, we must collect sales tax based on the vehicle rate for your state. As a dealer, we also have a $110 documentation fee, $161 title/registration fee for Illinois buyers, and $10 ride-away permit fee for out-of-state buyers. On Jun-03-13 at 19:58:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a little history on the bike and how we came to own it: This bike arrived at our shop's annual track day. I couldn't believe it as I saw her being unloaded from the trailer. I walked over to offer a hand and meet the owner. Walking around the bike I was very impressed by her condition. I asked the owner about the history of the bike. At that time she had 95XX miles on her. The current owner shared with me that he bought her with 7500 miles on her, rebuilt the front end, new springs and fork seals, renewed the tires and brakes, flushed the brake system, flushed the coolant, replaced the carb intake boots as they were showing signs of age, rebuilt the carbs, changed the oil, replaced a few more rubber pieces, basically he did a very thorough tune up, and proceeded to ride her. My words to him were "if you ever want to sell her, I won't haggle on the price." I have a bias here. I learned to ride on a 1983 VF750F Interceptor. And having this historic Honda in my stable would just be too cool. Alas, three years went by and I received an email recalling that conversation from our track day. He offered a price. I asked if he would deliver her to me. We agreed and the deal was done. That was last July. I took her for one ride. It was amazing and brought back the feeling of being 18 years old, cruising down Pickeral Lake Road, riding a bike for the first time. So to sum it up, the previous owner had her for four years and did a mechanical refresh. I bought her, have not put a wrench on her, took her for one long ride, and now she is offered for sale. I would love to keep her, but I feel that one ride was perfect, and my racing habit has created a need for space and cash. Thus she is for sale.
