Anyone seeking an Original Truck would have a difficult time finding one as clean, never damaged, and as drivable as this one. If you are seeking one to hotrod or keep original this is the perfect one for you. Absolutely all original sheet metal with no rust anywhere including the cab corners... solid as the day built. This is an original Texas truck and I keep the Texas tag on the front because Oklahoma only uses one on the rear... just to show it's original origin. This old girl has turned many heads and get thumbs up all of the time... This truck does not look its age (50 +) in fact it looks more like 5 (Judge by the pictures) or less. All or the window rubber, door seals, glass felts, all all original, and look superior they won't need replacing. I did decide to replace the gas tank and sending unit due to the fact it was sitting so long and sediment in the fuel filter... The tires are new.... tiger paws... (I put one size smaller up front) my preference, and I have have an extra set of lowering springs for the front (but decided not to put them on)... that come with the truck. The bed has the original oak flooring but one board does need replacing (hole) right behind the driver's side by the cab... Brakes are perfect... uses no oil.... occasional drop off blow-by tube... No axle noise... Speedometer bounces so I think the cable needs replaced.... sometimes works sometimes quits.... showing 23,033 original miles and honestly, honestly, honestly, believed to be correct.... However with the speedometer as it is... could be slightly more. There is a very tiny (littler than fingernail) size perfectly round chip in the far upper corner of the windshield that is mostly unnoticeable (see the picture)... it is way above the Green OK safety sticker and does not effect the windshield view in any way... The truck was only painted once several years ago due to fading... and back to its original color.... it is as good as it gets... not a 20 footer, or 10 footer... but more like a 2 - 3 footer. Of course after driving it for several years after the paint... it does show a few chips... but nothing to keep people from admiring it! I have a 283 just rebuild and less than 50 miles on it.... that I was thinking about putting in the truck... I also have the transmission adapter place to go with it....
