Vehicle Detail
Hi! This listing is for our 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5. It currently has 153,100 miles on it. The VIN is JT3HN86R5Y0265781. We bought this in 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. I think it had one owner before us. It has been well maintained and has been very reliable for us. We are only selling it because we got a minivan as our kids started outgrowing their car seats. We had really intended to keep it forever, but now we have an extra car. It has the 3.4L DOHC V6, with the 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission. It has a part-time 4-wheel drive system, which means that you don’t want to use it on dry pavement. This truck also came from the factory with an electronic rear differential lock. I used it once, and it worked fine.Toyota calls the exterior paint color "Desert Dune Pearl" in their brochures from that time, which is kind of a tan-silver color. It has a tan interior, which Toyota calls "Oak," with manual seats, electric windows, power locks, and remote entry. The rear window also powers up and down, and has a defrost and wiper. This has a factory CD/cassette stereo that works fine. The factory security cover that rolls out over the cargo area is included. Brand new factory floor mats are included. This 4Runner also has the optional roof rack and rear spoiler. All the markers lights and switches work. The wheels look good right when you clean them, but they are pitted and start looking dirty pretty quickly for some reason (see pictures). The horn honks, which is great if you are into horn honking. Maintenance: The oil has just been changed, and it wasn’t too long ago that we changed the transfer case fluid, transmission fluid and filter, and the lube in both differentials. There is a full size spare with 100% tread remaining, though the road tires themselves are worn down to a little less than 5/32”. The drive belts are in good shape, and the timing belt was recently changed (at about 121,000 miles). When the timing belt was changed the water pump was also changed, although there was nothing wrong with the old water pump. This has a new starter but the original alternator. It is in very good condition, and I would drive it cross country tomorrow with no worries at all. It doesn’t use any oil between changes, and there are no fluid leaks. The air conditioner works great. There is a spot of rust in front of one of the wheels (see pictures) that I found when cleaning her up to photograph. There is scuffing on the inside ceiling from a safety fence (shown in pictures). There are also a couple streaks on the fender flares that you can see in the pictures. There was a star chip on the windshield when we bought this, but it had been filled and hasn't spread at all. There is a small dent below the driver side tail light (see pictures) from when I backed into a friend's car in my driveway, so it was not a high-speed collision. There are also a lot of little chips, marks, and fine scratches that came from normal use, but which don't show up well in photos. There is one other notable dent in the drivers side, that is barely visible (see pictures) in person, but it is there. I don't know how it got there. There are some little clear protectors in the front of the rear wheel flares, that look bad from gravel dings (see pictures), but I don't know how to replace them. You can pay with a cashier's check, but cash works best. I would like to avoid paypal if possible. If you pay with cash, I can hand you the title when you pick it up. If you pay with a cashier's check, I will mail you the title after the check clears. You are welcome and encouraged to contact me through ebay to arrange an inspection and test drive before bidding. I've tried to be as complete as possible, but if you have specific concerns, please ask before the auction ends, or come inspect the vehicle in person. I don't think I can ferry this cross country, so this listing is local pick-up only. The truck is located in northeastern Maryland, right on I-95, convenient to MD, DE, PA, NJ, and DC area. Driver's side view Passenger Side View including my neighbor's house. His name is Ed. Top featuring the roof rack. Front view featuring the... front. Front squirrel's-eye view. Look out! Back showing the roof rack and rear air-diffuser-spoiler-type thing. Rear view showing the trailer hitch. I taped over my license plate to be cagey. There is a flat 4 prong trailer connector tie up on the frame rail. That's the kind that the little U-Haul trailers need. Engine bay, showing the 3.4L 5VZ-FE DOHC motor. It runs very nicely and has been super reliable. This is the driver's side, with a great view of the new floor mats. Wow! Dash view. Automatic gear shift and transfer case control stick-nub-handle. There's the emergency brake too. It works fine. Rear seating area for people you don't want up front, with their baggies of cheerios and sippy cups. Rear cargo area. The privacy screen is included, but is not shown here. It's in perfect condition, as it spent the last 9 years rolled up in my basement. There's some kind of a stowage bin on the right side of the rear cargo area, but I don't know what it's for since the jack is under the rear seats. I guess it could hold a first aid kit or a bug-out bag? Scuff marks on the ceiling from the safety fence. Sorry about that. Rear seating area from the passenger's side. New mats in back too! Rear seat upper cushions. Front passenger seat view. By the way, check out the crack-free dash! Front seat backs showing cushion fabric. Looks like a cigarette burn in the front drivers seat from previous owner, but even when we first got her, she didn't smell like smoke. It hasn't grown or frayed in the last 9 years. Front driver's inside door panel. Rear driver's side inside door panel. Rear passenger's inside door panel. Front passenger inside door panel. One of the wheels. Notice the marks on the edge of the flare. I'm trying to show the marks and dings on the wheel itself. They are obvious in person. Speedometer, odometer. A close-up of the marks on the fender flare. This is the clear flare protector mentioned with the gravel marks. The one on the other side looks about the same. A strange blemish in the paint on the hood. Don't know what it was from. Tree sap? This is the carpet under the drivers floor mat. My heel wore through the last set of mats and into the carpet. Another view of the worn spot. It's not huge. The dent mentioned in the description on the drivers side. What look like other blemishes are really just reflections of my shoes and the driveway. There's a funky mark in the paint under the 4Runner emblem on the back, and a reflection of my shoes. Note that the plastic rubber cover on the top of the bumper is a little faded. And on the other side a scratch around the SR5 emblem. Same scratch different angle. View 2 of the flare streaks. A spot of rust in front of the back wheel. Dent from backing into my friend's car. He even asked if I wanted him to move it before I backed out. I said no. This is a sticker from the driver's door jamb.On Jul-09-13 at 17:48:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that we only have one of the keyless entry fobs. Also, when driving it today to position it on the ramps for the underside photos, I noticed a slight pulsing during braking, so the rotors may need to be turned or replaced. It drives fine, I just don't want anyone to be surprised. Underside view towards the front: Underside view towards the back:
